My wife and I recently travelled from Somerset and stayed for a week at the Logis Plantagenet and although we arrived late in the evening our hosts were there to greet us and to show us to the Studio Room. At breakfast we found an abundance of choice: porridge, cereals, orange juice and cafe filtre to die for! Every day... More

This a beautiful house in walking distance of the centre of Bergerac. However many of the antique chairs are broken and cannot be used. Also the kitchen is only for making tea and coffee, there are no knives, forks, plates, cooker or microwave. There are no coffee making facilities in the rooms and there are signs asking that no food... More

It is clearly stated that Le Logis Plantagenet is a de luxe Bed and Breakfast establishment and, like other B&B's, we do not expect our guests to bring in food to consume in their bedrooms. The very beautiful kitchen is for our guests to make tea or coffee whenever they wish. Coffee, tea and milk are supplied and guests can... More

We heartily endorse the positive reviews here. Located in the old town, just a few steps from the Dordogne river, with free parking by the river. Very comfortable bedroom, truly delightful olde worlde house, friendly and relaxed hosts. No wifi as stated, although our host was happy to sort out a wired connection—but there is free wifi at the Riverside... More

Trip Advisor review for Le Logis Plantagenet My wife and I spent one night at Le Logis Plantagenet in Bergerac in September while enroute from Sarlat to Bordeaux. The Plantagenet is housed in a centuries old colombage style house that faces onto a small park located within a two to three minutes walk from the Dordogne River. The house appears... More

This accommodation is truly unbelievable with attractive tudor front opening into a house which is beautifully and expensively furnished, with lounges and kitchen for sole use of guests. The bedroom in which we stayed was spacious and tastefully furnished with a comfortable large bed and bathroom with all necessary toiletries. The location is also ideal, being a stones throw from... Based on photos on this site, I reserved a room months in advance and was charged extra for reserving only one night, only to be placed in a room not advertised, and not even in the Inn. Instead, we were put in a little used 3rd floor room in a different building, with broken windows/shutters, on an unbearably hot night,... More

The one point with which I agree with this reviewer is that it was a very hot night. The room was provided with an air conditioner and a fan which they presumably did not wish to use. If they had drawn the curtains this would have have taken care of the street lights. The description of the house as a... More

We were delighted with our stay here, both because of the friendly welcome and because the location is superb for exploring the town and the river, which are both literally two minutes walk away. Our room was spacious and light, with plenty of storage space, and breakfast was a treat both because we ate outside in the owners' lovely courtyard... More

We stayed in this lovely B&B which is situated in an area that looks like you stepped back in time. It was a great experience. Our hosts were extremely hospitable and we had one of the most enjoyable breakfasts with them, Bruce and Rosetta had the most wonderful stories and experiences. We had to say goodbye 3x before we finally... More

Location of this B& B is excellent & the building is lovely - all it says. The room was very large & beautifully furnished. However, there was nowhere to hang or store anything, so all had to stay in cases. There is no T.V. - not a problem for us, but should be mentioned. Breakfast is taken in the owners... More

My wife and I were sad to read this review, as we ourselves would think twice about booking into a place hosted by a crusty old Colonel Blimp with politically incorrect views. It is true that I held a short term commission, but I myself never talk about it so perhaps they saw a photograph when we showed them our... More

In the old quarter of bergerac. Right in the hub. Bruce and rosetta have a warm welcome and a beautiful bed and beakfast. Spotless and full of character. A great base for your stay in bergerac.
