In Biarritz, European capital of surfing, you will feel privileged at the Youth Hostel. Moderne, comfortable, welcoming, and user-friendly, it offers a large choice of sport and cultural activities. It couldn't have a better setting. Located near all means of transportation, it is a gateway to the Basque hinterland. Hiking is definitely on the menu - You'll be at the foot of the Pyrenean Mountains, and on Spain's doorstep. Many pilgrims have a stop at the YH before starting the coastal path, also called "El Camino Francés", leading to Santiago de Compostela. This YH is located in a Natura 2000 protected area, on a lake shore, and very close to Biarritz Océan / la Cité du surf, the biggest European Surfing and Marine museum.
