this hotel is in the centre of Manchester,we thought it would be noisy as the bar below is open till 3am,we heard nothing.bathroom very basic and dark and apart from stained duvet covers the room was spacious and tidy.staff were very friendly. This hotel is ideal for stag or hen dos.do not consider it for a romantic weekend away.no parking is... Stayed here for just one night for a girlie night out with a friend, so literally just needed somewhere to sleep. The room was clean and tidy,Staff polite and friendly at check in. Bathroom was very very small! Actually had to leave the loo door open when using as felt claustrophobic! ha ha! didn't have breakfast as wanted to have... More

I stayed at this hotel over the past weekend with three friends. The location is great so I can’t complain about that. It’s very central and convenient to get to pretty much anywhere so it’s perfect on that basis. But if I’m honest, I don’t think we’ll be staying there again. The room was basic which was fine because we... More

I stayed at the union hotel for my 21st birthday weekend and loved it! Firstly, the location is perfect, and the price for the location is exceptionally cheap. The room was perfectly clean and tidy with easy, secure 24 hour access. The staff at the hotel, are the loveliest most attentive people I've ever met! Anything we needed, they helped... More

I stayed here on a Thurs & Fri night, regardless of some of the poor comments below, this hotel is GREAT location on Canal Street, Worth the money. The website does state it is above a bar. The Friday night music could be heard from the room, but this was expected and was only until 2:30am. For location you REALLY... More

The staff are really friendly and helpful, the accommodation was great considering the cheap prices, and generally a lot nicer than some other places I've stayed in. I would definitely recommend this to the anyone! More

We stayed last week & thought it was really good. Clean, good price and in the city centre. We had one of the new bathrooms and our friends in the other room had an old bathroom. The hotel manager said they are doing the rooms up. Is noisy but we didn't care because we were going out. Will definitely be... More

I have been genuinely surprised about the reviews about this hotel. Granted it isn't 5* luxury but it doesn't profess to be either. On both of my visits it has been exceptionally clean. It is in an ideal location and is a lot nicer than some city centre hotels that I have paid double for! I stayed here with my... More

Me and my boyfriend went there while we were over in manchester for a concert. The whole trip was a birthday present and this seemed like the ideal location. I paid a deposit before I got there and when we did arrive, we got shown to our room which was dark and dingy. It only had a small window which... More

Stayed at this hotel Sunday to Wednesday. It is an entirely acceptable cheap hotel in Manchester centre. Location is excellent and we paid £55 per night for a twin room. The double bed in room 4 feels on the verge of collapse, and the window can't be locked, which isn't great security wise. Bathroom is tiny but functional, and we... More
