stayed for an overnighter to break up a long journey - room clean and cosy, breakfast really nice - catered well for veggies and nice coffee. Staff very helpful but kept in background (as I like it) Excellent value for money. Don't think the negative reviews are fair - unless the manager has taken on board the crits and its... More

The hotel seems a little quirky at first as you enter the main building which houses the cafe and restaurant complex with the bedrooms accessed via an outside stairs. However the bedroom was quite roomy and comfortable and the breakfast was very satisfactory in all respects. The location is good although light sleepers with front facing rooms may be disturbed... Stayed here one night whilst visiting Lancaster university. Easy walk from the station and into town. Free parking available. Friendly helpful staff, spacious room, good shower and great breakfast. Rooms are above their restaurant which meant a bit of noise for a while in the evening but didn't disturb sleep. At £55 for a double bed and a single and... More

Entrance to the hotel is through their Tex Mex restaurant where friendly staff do a multitude of tasks. The hotel is on a busy road but my room, #2, is at the back so nice and quiet. The large room had a double and a single bed, big en suite, LCD tv with freeview, plenty of storage, info for the... More

We had checked in late around 9 pm on Saturday, we need to go to the restaurant to ask for the keys. There was no lobby of the this hotel, just have to go inside the restaurant and ask any waiters/ waitresses there. There's no Wi-fi in room even it's advertised that wifi is available everywhere in this hotel. The... More

Absolutely no complaints. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are above the restaurant and accessed via separate entrance. We had our very own front door for room 2 directly onto the steps and then onto main street. We were happy with this arrangement as we were free to come and go as we pleased with no reliance on reception etc.... More

I had little faith in the hotel after I read the reviews. I was expecting dirty hotel, with loud noise. Well the noise was certainly an issue. Despite closing the windows the noise could still be heard. Me and My Partner were surprised with the spacious bedroom. It was on the top floor, with a nice bed. The breakfast next... More

We stayed at the Crows Nest on Saturday night 18/08/2012 for the one night. We were told that breakfast was served between 08:00 and 10:00 on Sunday. We made everyone aware that we had to leave by 08:30 as we had a busy schedule. At 07:55 we were all waiting for the hotel restaurant to be opened and we were... More
