The Holiday Inn Basingstoke is fairly close to the town centre and has a good size car park and is well connected by buses into Basingstoke. This visit was for two nights on room only basis, I stayed at the hotel two years ago and had a pleasant stay. Check in was quick and easy and I was welcomed as... More

This weekend I have stayed in the Holiday Inn at Basingstoke. It is a nice quiet hotel away from the town centre. The room was comfortable clean and tidy. The whole hotel was clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good. I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stop or even longer if... More

this is a typical holiday inn. clean, reasonably efficient, well appointed for the town. booking in took close to 20 minutes, only one receptionist, one other party having got there before us. i think £80 a night is a bit steep, they're trying to get a premium on everything (eg - wi fi £5 a day when it's free almost... A Holiday Inn is never going to be The Ritz but this particular one was well located for the town, the staff were efficient and pleasant, the room was clean and well equipped and the meal in the restaurant excellent and well priced, my chicken and bacon salad was really good and tasty. A very good overall experience.

Very comfortable hotel in a nice location. The food was good but the service a bit off, distracted and forgetful especially at breakfast. During both dinner and breakfast I had to get up to find staff and getting a coffee at breakfast was a major undertaking. I would stay here again though.

I needed a cheap place for a one night stay for work. The hotel ticked all theses boxes. The building is slightly dated, but the rooms are well furbished. Near to a busy main road but surprisingly quiet. I heard no traffic noise at all. For was good. I like that they do basic snacks like fish finger sandwiches &... More

Good clean rooms with basic facilites, good food, pleasant staff. Very satiisfied with the stay. We were here for the Easter weekend to visit Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey in the television series) and the location was ideal.

Stayed on business and never slept a wink ! Room too hot, tap dripped all night and noisy ! Not the worst I've stayed in but pretty poor none the less. Breakfast was very poor with the cooked section dripping in fat. I'm not staying here again !

My staff was 'as expected' and I particularly wanted to acknowledge the staff's friendly and efficient demeanor. The fabric of the building is a bit tired though - I had some knocking radiators and the show tube was split so in need of a bit of TLC. All things taken into account though was a good experience and I would... More

For £100 per night paid, I was expecting a 330ml bottle of water in the room or a 50p biscuit, which was obviously not included. Internet was like £16 for 24hrs. Breakfast was included in my deal, and parking was free. No gym on site, if you wish to use a gym, then u'll have to make it to the... More
