The pear tree at purton is a beautiful hotel, full of old school English charm without being stuffy or old fashioned. I spent a wonderful 2 nights here and could not fault it. We were at the Pear Tree for Christmas lunch. The lunch was £100 per person. This included champagne cocktails on arrival, 8 courses, crackers/ novelties and coffee and mince pies after. The service was excellent and all of the food superb. Will be back again next year. More

Four of us spent new years eve hear-our first vist. A lovely building, and good welcome. We were shown to a very well appointed bedroom, big with a great view over the gardens and spotlessly clean. Dinner was first class well served and delicious. A good nights sleep was followed by a hearty Wiltshire breakfast. Will definately be returning. More

On arrival were slightly disappointed that the original old building as depicted in the brochure photograph was overshadowed by a large modern extension... but from then on, all good. Staff attentive and friendly, rooms well appointed and clean, and a very respectable dinner. Recommended. More

My husband and I have stayed here several times. It is really relaxed and friendly, very professional staff and super food. Hotel is lovely and the gardens whilst the location is great for walking and exploring. It is also dog friendly which is lovely. More
