It is the second time we have now stayed at the DCC and both times have found it to be great! The staff are always welcoming and friendly, the facilities are more than adequate and the food is very good! When we paid for the hotel, at a bargain-basement price we wondered what on earth it would be like... Yet... More

We stayed a night at the Conference Centre because Derby has been offering a tourist promotion and there was a good reason to visit the city art gallery. (OK, good promotion - our first visit to Derby!) Several hotels were included in the promotion: the best (I'd judge) had no rooms for our date (a Saturday), but this one looked... More

On arriving the staff was polite, (i have only ever stayed at one hotel before bossworth hall) i was especting the staff to show us to our room with this hotel being rated 4 stars. our room was modern decorated & clean with a small plasma television, there was no bath in the en suite however it was clean, we... The property does not really live up to the high expectations of its website. The majority of the building is in quite a poor state of repair and upkeep, especially its reception - which set the tone for the building throughout. The staff, on arrival, did not seem particularly enthusiastic - with one continuing to read the Argos catalogue whilst... More

Seems likely that you are filling rooms left over from training courses and conferences. Building is interesting and rooms give you somewhere to crash. Could do with a quality check on cleaning. Staff that I have seen were friendly. Better than a Travelodge or HIE More

I stayed just for one night and found the room temperature very hot and it wasn't adjustable. The room door did not lock properly. Breakfast consisted of eating in a hall hence the reason why it felt like a school and staff were rude & abrupt like school dinner ladies! For £55 this is not what I expected. If this... More

I have been working away from home and have been staying in the DCC for about 3 months on and of out of the last 6. In that time I have had one bad experiance which was the only time I stayed on a weekend and the had a wedding party on. It is worth checking if they are holding... More

I was booked into this hotel as I was working in the area. The hotel is VERY basic, its very much like staying in a military barracks with small, oddly shaped rooms. We had a large unobscured bathroom window that meant you had to pull the curtain closed unless you wanted anyone coming down the drive to see you doing... More

The staff were wonderful. The room, though quite small, was beautifully decorated and very clean. I had a great night's sleep and woke up really refreshed for the day ahead. Breakfast was delicious and the Manager couldn't have been more hospitable if he had tried. On first impression, I thought I'd made a mistake booking here. As I walked through... More

My friend and I stayed here as a last minute decision. We paid £50 for bed and breakfast and this seemed good value from what we had seen on the web page. When we arrived we were sent to our room on the South wing. As we came on to our coridoor we both agreed that it was like something... More
