I stayed in Auburn Terrace for 2 nights last week. I found it warm, welcoming and very pleasant. It was just as described, great location, great service and lovely food. Average. Bathroom of room 5 was very poor. The wall had a crack and hopefully the building was under pinned. The decor was dated. The breakfast was good and the service was good. The price reflected the quality. There are two houses. We staded at number 2. This does seem like an add on to the original. More

Tried several places in the town to get one night without having booked in advance, and this one was the only one with a friendly and cheerful landlady. An old house with old furniture, reasonably clean though. The only concerning thing were stained wine glasses - a faulty dishwasher, perhaps? Other issues sorted out immediately by the landlady.
