I have stayed here twice when we have travelled up to Mayo for family visits. I have enjoyed staying in the hotel as I love the rooms, beds are really comfortable and also the prices aint that bad. Our stay at the Harlequin Hotel was for 2 nights on a B&B basis. The reason for our stay at the hotel was to attend a local charity event, which included an evening at the adjacent Royal Theatre. Due to our planned early arrival, the hotel had kindly arranged for a room to be made available to us all in... More

I am not into hotel decoration in any way let me start by saying. I dont usually compare or contrast, but this one stands out. Think Burlesque house meets a french renaissance specialist store, chaise longues on reception, and strange chairs. Someone tried too hard here it looks like. There was a mirror in my room, and I went so... More

Ideal location for visiting GMIT, but not much else really. The rooms were fine and the hotel itself is fairly quirky. The service was very slow, especially for the restaurant but the food was nice. Overall, an uneventful stay, and if you need to be in the area and get a good rate it's worth a visit.
