Within walking distance of kilkenny castle, our room was on a busy road but very quiet! Very clean and comfy bed. only down point : parking is either on that busy street or a block away in a public parking. We would go back for sure
We stayed here last weekend, just a one night break in Kilkenny. We had never stayed in Lawlor's Guesthouse before, usually we try and get a room in The Hibernian Hotel so we were a bit unsure what we'd find but I have to say it really is great value for money. The location is perfect if you want to...

I have stayed at Lawlors at least one night a week for the past 18 months and have never been disappointed with the quality of any of the rooms and I've stayed in them all!
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and the welcome from Miriam and John is second to none. I Feel I have to respond to...

I must say that i most definately DISAGREE with the review "do not stay here". I have had the opportunity of staying in Lawlors Guesthouse on many occassions and each stay has been as perfect as the last. Lawlors is situated on John Street which is in the hub of the city centre with lots of bars and good places...

After reading the reviews of Lawlors in Kilkenny I thought that it would be a good place to stay. the...

We were looking for pub accomodation, and we certainly got what we were looking for! The rooms are located on the floor above the pub itself. Rooms were clean and comfortable, rather spacious, all though a little bit worn - not that this bothered us.
Checking in and out was no problem, the staff was helpful and forthcoming. The included...

Stayed there a night on our trip through Ireland. The bar is pretty sweet and the bartender we had was very helpful on ideas for spots to hit. Stayed here to hit the Kilkenny Castle and town and was not disappointed. Lovely town! The B&B was nice and the layout is easy to navigate to come and go.
Having arrived at Lawlors with my 11 year old son at around 6.30pm (after travelling from England via Cork) I was a little taken-a-back to be advised that food had stopped being served around 6pm.
The bar area was nothing short of spectacular and the traditional appearance has been very well kept. Initial impressions where very good apart from the...
