Stayed in this hotel last week for the third and probably the last time. The hotel has a four star rating and as far as accomodation is concearned it probably lived up to this rating, the restaurant however was a different matter:- The breakfast was a mixture of buffet and waiter served, the waiter served part being very slow, and the buffet hot... Stayed at the Carlton last weekend. Nice Hotel but with a few tweeks it could be a fab hotel. A 4 star hotel I think should have a great shower not just a poor one. Bottled water in all rooms instead there was none. Room service charges were crazy prices so we did not avail. We had a fridge empty,... More

Spacious, modern, clean and bright hotel. Slow to check in as only one receptionist. Bedrooms nice and bright and clean with Coffee facilities, small fridge and tv/iron and board. Little on the small side however but adequate. Evening meal was presented beautifully but that is it...There was four of us in the group and not one of us enjoyed our... More

As family of 4 arrived on Saturday and got upgraded to exec suite to accommodate us all. Room was excellent, clean and bright. Hotel was busy and good buzz. We took the special rate of three night break with two evening meals and access to the Aquadome for all the family (15 euro per adult otherwise). Food in the restuarant... More

I've stayed at this hotel around 5 times now in the past couple of years and it's always been a fantastic stay with the kids. It's on the outskirts of the town so not noisy at all but it's still close enough to be a 10/15 min walk to the city centre. Great hotel for kids with a cinema down... More

Enjoyed the hotel overall, but just found of the staff unprofessional, and quite rude. An example of this was at check-in where I stood waiting while two desk employees chatted away about their night out oblivious to my presence, even though they clearly saw me walk up to the counter! Second example, asking for directions or recommendations, or even how... More

Found the Carlton Tralee to be clean & comfortable. Although not in walking distance to the town, taxis are easily accessible. Dined in the bar, which had a good menu & the food was nice too. Would recommend to others.

I stayed in the Carlton with a friend of mine, the room was spacious and clean, the bed were very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, and very helpful in every way. I am a guide dog user, and they were very accommodating in terms of reading menus, providing information on train services, etc. I would stay there... More

We (my family and I) found the hotel pleasant enough, hotel, rooms, etc were clean and modern, however, we found some of the staff, especially the night porter and bar staff quite rude and unaccommodating.

Dear Marcus 111, Thank you for reviewing your experience from last year. It is very important to us to receive feedback no matter when it may be from. I have taken note of grievance and will mention it to the management to be wary off esp coming into very busy summer months. I am however delighted that you liked the... More
