Stayed here with a family member for a 2 night midweek break. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was in the newer part of the hotel and the decor was the only disappointing aspect of our stay. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities but decor was very basic. The bathroom was also clean... More

The Malton is perfectly located for a stay in Killarney. Parking is on site which is a great benefit if you are driving yourself. Situated in the heart of Killarney the restaurants and pubs are a stroll away. The hotel unfortunately is showing her age. We stayed in a Junior Suite and the room was large but the furniture was... I have stayed in this Hotel many times over the years - previously it was known as "The great Southern Killarney" until it changed hands in recent years. I stayed there in March of this year and also in April 2011 and it is very luxurious. Very good rates, beautiful rooms, dining room is worth visiting. Food very good too. More

My husband and I recently travelled from the Cayman Islands to stay at the Malton for two nights to celebrate my brothers wedding. From the moment we arrived we were highly impressed with the level of customer service and attention to guest requests. The hotel itself has a wonderful historic and grand feel to it and is more akin to... More

I visited for a conference and was impressed by the customer service of the hotel team. in particular Mary, the guest relations manager, spent time and effort assisting me in identifying and booking a great restaurant for dinner. Thanks Mary, you're a star. would I stay here again ? in a heart beat! More

I was there for a conference and the facilities were excellent. It is the best hotel in Killarney to stay in if you arrive by the now highly efficient train. The rooms were very large, good qualiy and reasonably priced for their standard. The conference food was delivered very efficiently and probably the best I have ever had at a... More

Stayed in this hotel recently and thought it sounded promising. However, the word that instantly sprang to mind was monet-good from afar but up close a completely different story. It is undeniable that the grounds of the hotel, the exterior and the main recepetion hall are beautiful but thats where it ended. I found the staff to be snide both... More

Dear LesleyD, Thank you for your recent review. It is lovely to read how impressive the hotel is to our guests, built in 1854, the word “beautiful” well describes this historical building. However I was disappointed to read your comments in relation to our team members as in general we receive very warm remarks about our employees which are reflected... More

As a frequent visitor to conferences around Europe, it is difficult not to get depressed while traveling alone around a series of totally anonymous and often grimy and gloomy hotels. This hotel proved to be a very welcome exception to the rule as a conference I was speaking at happened to book me here. The hotel is bursting with old... More

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. This hotel is full of charm. Check in was efficient and friendly. Our room was really nice. Very spacious with a seating area and an entrance hall with wardrobes. We were attending a wedding which was excellent. The hotel has a lot of nice rooms off the lobby area for reading... More
