The Invicta is the perfect place to get away and be in a beautiful place. The mountains and the lake are right there and if you are up for a hike you don't even have to drive. Mary and Shawn are the most friendly people and very responsive to questions sent prior to arriving. We stayed at four different bed... More

Very warm, homy and hospitable place. Big beautiful house located near the lake, large light rooms, floors are covered with soft fluffy rugs. Tea, coffee and scones after the acquaintance. After treatment we went in the forest to see beautiful waterfall and it took us almost three hours. In the process we got in the rain and soaked to the... More

My wife and I (Canadian seniors, vegetarians) found this B&B to be a great place for a five night stay in July 2011. Mary and Sean were helpful in so many ways like travel plans, restaurant recommendations, flexible breakfast menu (porridge) , and even drying my bog walk drenched hiking shoes and socks. The location near but outside Killarney is... More

This B&B was farther from Killarney that we expected, but it was a nice opportunity to enjoy the lakes in Killarney. We went horseback riding in the nearby Killarney riding stables and drove into Killarney the next day. It is a true farmhouse experience.

We arrived after a long day we arrived to this out of the way B& B. Mary greeted us with tea and cookies. When she learned that my husband, the primary driver for our trip was exhausted she offered to drive us to dinner that night and pick us up when we were done. How gracious and lovely! The room... If you are looking for a Bed & Breakfast with all the Irish hospitality the country has to offer The Invicta is it. When we arrived Sean greeted us and was the epitome of a wonderful host. It was rainy and a bit chilly in Killarney and he gave us tea, coffee, and biscuits upon arrival. We chatted and then... More

My family of 5 (kids 13, 13, 15) stayed here for 2 nights June 17-18. This is a perfect location for seeing the Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Killarney and is located right in the Gap of Dunloe. You can not miss seeing the gap - it has the most beautiful views of the whole Ring of Kerry. The hosts are... More

Words can not explain how wonderful and relaxing The Invicta is... Mary and Sean make you feel warm and welcome from the moment they greet you. Everything in the room was spotless and the view from the balcony was breath-taking. We stayed in three other places all around Ireland and NONE compared with The Invicta. It was absolute perfection and... More

The house is beautifully situated near a lovely lake, peaceful & quiet, in scenic countryside. Ideally placed for Kilnarney, The Gap of Dunloe and many lovely walks, as well as great fishing on the lake. Shaun has boats for fishing use and a vast knowledge of the local fishing. The beds are comfortable in lovely rooms with no outside noise.... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Invicta for one night last weekend (15th August) and both felt that it was a charming b&b. In terms of location, it is very close to the lake where you can hire fishing boats (from the b&b proprietor - Sean). It is also very close to the walking track that takes you to... More
