Located close to Killarney National Park, warm welcome, and very relaxing stay. We enjoyed spending the evening by the fire place. Comfortable room, hearty breakfast, would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I, along with our 10 year old daughter, spent two nights at Muckross Stables B&B and found it to be a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. The owner, Maureen and her family (Sean in particular) were very interested in knowing about where we were from and about our travel plans. It was also very good to listen... More

Just 4km Killarney this was just a very charming farm property. Lots of horses, sheep and goats that graze right on the lawn in front of the house. Also emus, wallabys and other animals to see. Great breakfast and charming hosts.

Was not difficult to find Muckross Stables, directions were perfect on website. Upon driving down the long driveway into the property, we were excited to see gorgeous little sheep roaming the property, and later found they had chickens, a wallaby, puppies, emus, geese, rabbits and horses in the stables - what more could you want! Rooms were lovely and very... More

We stayed her in June 2012 and had booked 3 nights for the three of us (2 adults and a 14-month old child). Unfortunately after the first night we were told that another guest had left because of the noise from our child "crying all night". We were rather surprised as he'd cried for 5 minutes at 1am, but otherwise... More

We LOVED our stay at Muckross Stables. Great hospitality, went horseback riding through the national forest right next door. Horses and sheep lying grazing outside your window. Minature kangaroo with a baby in her pouch peaked out at us on our visit, and puppies to play with! If you are a animal or outdoor lover, this is a great place... More

We just returned home from our trip to Ireland and I wanted to write a review of this B&B for other travelers. The rooms and baths and accomodations are adequate. The food is good for breakfast (pancakes or a traditional Irish breakfast -meat/eggs/bread/tea/coffee). But the best part was the petting farm/zoo and play area for kids. They have 2 ziplines... This was a great place to stay over Easter as it is in a lovely setting and very near to Killarney. The kids were not bored and they enjoyed all that was on offer from the pet farm and riding stables. When we arrived we got a warm welcome from Maureen. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast set... More
