We spent 2 nights at Friars Glen and had a wonderful experience. Mary, John and Bridget couldn't have done more for us. Great breakfast, immaculate house and room. Brilliant.
'The Laird' was most pleased.

We spent 2 nights at Friars Glen on our self-drive of Ireland. We have two young children (4 years and 18 months) and Bridget and Mary could not have been more helpful or accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel so welcome from our arrival, the room was a good size comfortably fitting all of us,...

We spent two nights here. The location is great, right in the park. Bridget became our personal travel guide. She helped us map out a drive trip with suggested stops on the Ring of Kerry and valentis Island. The morning we left she suggested stops on our way towards Cork. Mary and John wwere also wonderful. John gave us some...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in May 2012. I came to know about this property from TA reviews and was more than overjoyed with my choice.
From the moment we stepped in, Bridget made us feel totally at home. Mary and Bridget went out of their way to make us feel at home - right from...

A great place to be. John and Mary went well out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome. Bridgett is fabulous in the mornings. Food is great, sitting room and fire....delightful. They were great at arranging day trips for us and always provided maps, directions, advice, etc... Very clean place and better than home. You must stay here.

We visited Friars Glen three years ago with my partner's 89-year-old mother and this time with my 80-year-old father and his wife. Both times Mary and John welcomed us warmly and went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. Mary even claims she will miss the daily hugs she got from my dad!
We missed Brigit the...

Very nice place with tremendous scenery, and the price is very reasonable. The location is great if you have a car, far enough outside of town to be quiet and peaceful, close enough to get to what you need to get to quickly. A pub with decent food is within walking distance if you want to have some drinks and...

My boyfriend and I went to Ireland for vacation a couple weeks ago and traveled throughout the country staying at different B&Bs. Friars Glen was by far the best one we stayed at. The house is beautiful, the grounds around it are beautiful, and to top it off, Mary, the owner is probably the sweetest person in the whole world....

My family and I all stayed at the Friar's Glen back in March and we had an amazing time. The B&B is gorgeous and the owner, Mary, was wonderful. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are very clean and nicely sized, and the cost was very reasonable. Mary very kindly let us use her personal computer when my mom lost...
