This is my 4th time staying here. Once again I loved every bit of it. The meyrick is so convenient on the door step of Galway city. We used the outdoor hot tub spa and sauna rooms. The view over Galway bay is fab from the hot tub. I was well impressed how nice the guys were with my car... More

Hi I didn't stay here but had coffee and fresh raspberry tarts in the lobby. I ate a LOT of pastry in Ireland and I can honestly say the best fresh raspberry tarts(with a hint of lemon) are at the Hotel Meyrick.Sorry Paris!! More

Our room was superb and beautifully appointed, although our friends were disappointed to find themselves in one not as elegant. Easy and swift check in was welcome after a long day on the road. A bonus to have windows that opened, although the square can be a bit noisy on a Saturday night. Great location and excellent restaurants left us... More

The hotel is lovely (we had a well-appointed, brilliantly clean room; the common areas were delightful and happily used; the breakfast was the best we had in Ireland). But it was the staff who made it an exceptional stay. We arrived late (nearing midnight) with no reservation. The amazing front of house staff set about finding a room that would... More

Was really disappointed with this hotel. It promised so much more! The public areas are very pleasant but that's where it ended for us! The rooms were old, very basic, small and grotty. We were allocated our room and found the door open and the light switch hanging of the wall. A minute later a maintence man appeared and said... More

Just back from a lovely relaxing break at Galway. Location is excellent it is in the heart of the city. Everything is within walking distance which is very handy. The receptionist was like a tour guide with her helpful advice on where to go and see. We didn't eat in the hotel but the breakfast kept us going for a... More

Stayed previously when it was the Great Southern. On that occasion as on this, we stayed in rooms facing Eyre Square. Speaking of which, this hotel does have an excellent location but as per the title of this review, helps make this hotel the tragedy that it is/was. Upon arrival in hire car, we had the lone bellboy/concierge valet park... More

Upon Check in the receptionist sent us to a room they considered "standard"..which had two single beds pushed together and not enough room to turn my wheelchair..we went back to the front desk and were switched to a room that required my husband to push up three steps to reach the lift..She had the AUDACITY to say " well its...
