Hotel is little dated but rooms have been recently refurbished so was very happy with the hotel overall and its so close to the city I was delighted no need for taxis...and breakfast was lovely so no complaints perfect for a weekend shopping.
I stayed here early in the summmer for a mid week break with my partner as we were offered a really reasonable rate. We stayed for 2 nights. This is a great location for anyone who wants to be near the shops, its less than 5 min walk to main shops so I was delighted. I found the hotel to...

I stayed at the Royal Dublin for two nights while on business in the city. The hotel itself looks poor from the outside, and inside is not much better. The room at first appeared fine, however it wasn't particularly comfortable, and was a little on the cramped side. The bathroom was fine; nothing more, nothing less. I did notice that...

Stayed there for 3 nights in May-June 08' for the first time I was in Dublin. Chose to stay at a different hotel on my second visit to the city. The location is unbeatable of course, as it's right on the main street of Dublin, with everything you could ever want nearby, stores, sightseeing, transport, bus tours. Problem is, it...

On arrival we walked through the fog of cigarette smoke outside the entrance doors to be hit by a very unpleasant smell in the tired foyer. The receptionist was unwelcoming and gave us no hotel information on breakfast times, location etc. When we asked about a popular tourist attraction he told us he knew nothing about it and it was...

We were really worried, having read some of the bad reviews, but took the advice to e-mail requesting a refurbished room at the back on an upper floor. On arriving at 08.30 am on the day of the Dublin Marathon we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming receptionist who allowed us to book in immediately. The room (no.520)...

I have never in my life came across such IGNORANT STAFF. They must really hate their job. The bar staff were in particular the rudest. I met alot of people in the bar that night who complained about them. We left the bar early as we were nearly afraid to ask for another drink!
The staff who manned the carvery...
