Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Simple convenient clean accommodation. Room 16 on the 1st floor. 6 double rooms with 3 shared bathrooms. Kettle, microwave and toaster in the hallway. Room was massive and had a wardrobe. Bed was old and not great. Wifi was very good. Heater was electric and made the room warm as the sache windows were loose and the wind blew through. There were wooden shutters which made it very dark. Lots of seagulls which are very loud and active at dawn. Earplugs are a good idea. All in all a cheap place for a night or two.

Stayed overnight at the Apache Hostel and it was great. Prime location right near to the Temple Bar. Private double room was warm and cosy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of bathrooms and very secure.

Worst hostel I've stayed in. And I've backpacked through Europe. Bed was just springs that collapse under you no padding and no support. Worst anything I've ever stayed in. Much better options in Dublin... on the plus side the bathrooms did look freshly clean.

I GOT ROBBED A person from the outside was after gaining access to the hostel and they are fusing to take any kind of responsibility.. This is the security faults in the hostel. 1. Not letting customers know you need to lock the bedroom manual on entering or exiting the rooms. 2. The main door was faulty so wasn't closing correctly after exiting the building ( which is the responsibility of the hostel to ensure that it was) 3. The door between the main door and room 5 which had a code was never closed by anyone especially any staff so customers where not aware if it was working or not. Again the hostel responsibility. 4. As on the camera it clearly shows the intruder picked up the keys that was on the information desk ( which one of them was for room 5 as a customer checkout).. the keys should be dropped into a checkout locked box which is not in place . It's the responsibility of the hostel again for this security error. The 4 reasons listed above put your accommodation at fault for what happened . At this stage if they are refusing to refund any of my stay for the 4 nights even though I only stayed 3 plus not willing to accept responsibility for your mistakes/errors and compensation my lost . They keep telling to contact booking.com or Agoda in trying to get this resolved.. but nothing is coming from it as the companies have informed me that the hostel is taking no responsibility. this is now in Apache Hostel hands to correct there business mistakes and deal with me.

its an old building, so dont expect modern looks. yes its dated, but that doesnt bother us. the floors were wore out, but were in the process of repairing. the mattress needs replacing. it was hard and wore out. but if you want location location at an affordable price. this is the place. the bathrooms during our visit were always clean. we did bring our own chlorox wipes and rubber gloves. just for our own piece of mind. im sure giving its prices, you do have some drunken people staying there that might not be tidy. but we did not have that problem. we did buy ear plugs and the noisy streets did not bother us. the front desk worker was awesome and allowed us to check in early and leave our bags for a few hours when we checked out. we will be back there in 4 days and stay there again. i would recommend if your used to staying 3 star cuba style resorts. we are, and it was great.

OMG, I can't praise enough this hostel! I've paid only €20 for staying in the heart of Dublin city centre!! Last night I had a nice hot shower, slept like a log in a comfy dormitory and the room temperature was very good (considering that it's winter time)! I would say that the hostel is quite clean! I assume that I was expecting the worse, considering that I arrived closed to midnight! My dormitory was very clean and tidy, considering that I was sharing with 5 other guys! All of them were already snoring when I arrived but, who cares?!! I was so tired and sleepy that all I wanted was a nice hot shower and a bed. By the way, my bed linen was clean and tidy when I arrived!!! Just bare in mind the following: once you receive your room keys, you are on your devices! Don't expect having a staff around for enquiring something or requesting something. Although there is not an open kitchen for the guests, there is a nice little corner on the first floor with microwave and toaster facilities! Would you like something to eat? Just across the road there are loads of options of both cheap and expensive snackbars, restaurants and supermarkets. You won't starve for sure!! For those who don't know, Apache is the name of a big chain of pizza restaurant. So yes, the hostel is just in the back of the premises. I've read in the other reviews that the hostel supposedly smells like pizza. Look, I didn't smell anything while in there! If you are not a fussy person and it's just looking for a cheap roof above your head, that's your place!! A big shout out put to the Apache restaurant's staff, who divide themselves between working at the restaurant and check-in the guests! You guys rock!! God bless ye!! I can't wait to return!! Next time I'll be stuck in the city centre again, for sure I'll book Apache again!!!! See you guys soon!!!

A double room in temple bar for 34 euro.. how can you complain. It was clean and neat and i stayed in two rooms over two nights. The pics on here are not representive of now.. everything was fine. The ceilings are massive with old sash windows so it's cold if you dont turn the heating on in room. It's ryanair style but perfect for a budget traveller

The bed was very comfortable and the room more than adequate, with plenty storage space and tea provided. Check-in took only a couple of minutes, and the manageress was very prompt at resolving an issue of anti-social behaviour involving some drunk guests.

Our room was clean and everything was good except the noise inside the hotel and outside. One nice thing is the location of hotel and the discount for food. Staff was polite and helpful. If you want pass one night there it's a good choice.
