Just came back from a lads jolly, 15 of us stayed here as a base for the Aviva Stadium. Clean rooms, comfy beds, pleasant and helpful staff. Value for money breakfast with good quality coffee. Bar until the small hours. Absolutely suited us for our trip. I would definitely recommend this place and will stay again.

Booked this place based on rave reviews. Had a four bed dorm to myself as had booked a twin ensuite. The rooms are clean and well insulated as noise doesn't seep through allowing a decent night's rest. Beds comfy too. The bathroom was a bit tired though and not well cleaned. The continental breakfast is decent value at €4. The... More

We stood in the Hostel for four nights with friends in a 6-bed-room (1st floor) and afterwards for one night as a couple in a 2-bed-room (4th floor). To start with the negative experience we had: The hotel seems to organize from tome to time a party, what is good for party-people but bad for people, that wants to sleep.... More

Amazing. That's it. Adorable people and nice place to stay. Where is a food-store nearby and many good pubs, f.e. Cobblestone with live irish music. Comfortable rooms: soft bed, warm blanket and shower.

Hostels are everyone things but everyone should try a Generator! The location is walking distance to the city centre. The rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. The whole concept, design and atmosphere is what you go for and it's cheap! Love it

We stayed here in May 2013. There were 11 of us on a stag do and on previous similar occasions we have ended up hostels which resemble third world accommodation. However this time, we arrived at the Generator and I was shocked from the off. The building is modern and clean. Everywhere you'd go you'd see wet floor signs because... More

This is more like a hotel than a hostel. I stayed in a 7 bed dorm with a private bathroom and it was very comfortable. The hostel has an excellent bar downstairs and does a great breakfast too. It was clean and the bed was very comfy for a hostel. It can get a bit loud on the weekends with... More

Could not believe it! I have never been to a hostel as clean as this one! You could smell the cleanliness. Fair play the staff were very polite, well minus one reception staff a polish lady (she didn't know anything, she needs training!) haha! But the rooms were very very clean, plenty of sockets! Me and the girls loved our... More

While planning a family trip to Ireland, I had convinced the other members of my family to stay in hostels, but with some reservations on their end. Within twenty minutes of arriving at the generator in Dublin, these reservations disappeared. We were all impressed by the lobby, bar and rooms, from the perspectives of both cleanliness and design, and the... More

We stayed here on Sunday 5th May 2013 in order to see Adam Ant at Vicar Street in Dublin. The hostel is in an ideal location for the gig. The hostel is a very nice modern bulding with friendly staff.
