Our Hobart travel agent booked us into GFH Hotel on another clients recommendation and they were not wrong. The location was perfect - close to the city centre so we could walk into town and back each day but not noisy. The room was clean, beds comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. Anita was great on breakfast, very friendly and helpful... More

MY mom and I been at the hotel for 1.5 week (with brakes) and it was great. The location is excellent right next to Temple Bar and close to the city center simply by walk of no more than 15 minutes. All the rooms we've been at were very clean and comfortable, with a fridge, electric kattle, cookies and a jar of... More

The location of this hotel is great for those looking to be near Temple Bar without being right in the craziness of it but also is a great location for those wanting to be near good restaurants or the historic churches. The main room was quite pretty and did not lack at all in comfort. I would have liked a... More

We had three nights here in April. Economical rates. Close to hop-on-off bus stops for touring. Good breakfast options. Staff welcoming and helpful. Weekends the church bells were persistent, but melodic.

My sister and I stayed here for two nights at the start of our 12 day trip in Ireland. She arrived from the states at 6am and had no problem leaving her luggage or checking into the room once it was available even though the reservation was in my name. I arrived that night at midnight from Italy with no... More

Was here only one night on business. It was enough. The location is its best attribute. It failed for me on 3 levels: 1) maintenance - light bulbs gone in reception and in the room and the dreaded smelly shower curtain 2) atmosphere - as in complete lack of any. The bar was EMPTY, no one, not even a barman.... More

Nice, older hotel. Our bed was firm and very comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower and the room was very clean. Easy walk to Christ Church Cathedral and Temple Bar and other area attractions.

I choose this hotel based on the reviews from this site and the location. I attended a meeting and the hotel was in the proximity. All the good reviews were well earned. I enjoyed my stay (2 nights). Best feature for me: the possibility to turn on the heat :-). In april, most of the hotels I've been to turn... More

The George Frederic Handel Hotel is located on Fishamble street in Temple bar. Although the hotel was built in 1996, it is located on one of the most historically important streets in Dublin. The site on which the hotel now stands once housed the music hall where Handel’s "Messiah" was first preformed. To this day, Handel’s famous work is still recited once a year right outside our front door. Our beautifully appointed 3 star hotel boasts individually appointed and upgraded rooms. All of our bedrooms are en-suite with bath and shower, flat screen 32" satellite TV, direct dial telephone, hot beverage facilities and crisp white linen. We can offer Double, Twin and Triple rooms or if you need a little more space, we can facilitate you in one of our executive doubles.
