I spent one night at this Bed &Breakfast while in Dublin for business reason. The room was large, comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was good. The location of the B&B is very good, as it is very close to the centre and convenient for moving around using public transport or walking

We spent our first three nights in Ireland at this B&B, located out of the centre of town but close to very convenient public transport. The room was large and comfortable and breakfast was the introduction to a series of excellent meals throughout our trip. Paul our host, has the true gift of the gab and proved the first of... More

Small cramped rooms, our initial room had one bed that could not be slept in as it was lopsided. We were moved from that room, not because we complained but because we were told new guests were arriving and our room could accommodate their 3 new guests. Overall cleanliness left something to be desired. Cobwebs in corners... breakfast table dirty..... More

A year ago I booked a friend who was working with me in Dublin into the Portobello. He had great stay. Paul & Eileen made him feel very welcome. Breakfast was top notch and the rooms are good sized and very well decorated. It's also only a 15 mins walk from the centre of Dublin in a good area. There... More

I really enjoyed my stay in Dublin and this had a lot to do with the Portobello Bed and Breakfast. Paul and Eileen were the perfect hosts. I could not have asked for a warmer reception. It is really conveniently located just a short walk to the center of Dublin. It is in an interesting section of the city. Many... More

We stayed here several nights with my wife and her parents. Paul and Elieen were the nicest people. Talking with Paul was always an adventure as you never were quite sure where he would end up. But he provided great advise and conversation during our stay. The house was very well maintained, and a short distance to the city center.... More

Elieen and Paul take great care of us and that is why we return every time we go back to Dublin. I would highly recommend this traditionally Georgian on the outside and very comfortable on the inside home. It's in a good part of Dublin. Within walking distance of the City. Think we have now stayed in every room which... More

Within walking distance of several places of interest, as well as having one of Dublin's canals nearby, perfect for a quiet stroll.... The hosts Elieen and Paul take great care of their guests.. they live up to the reputation lreland has... More

My boyfriend and I stayed there in a room overlooking the canal for 3 nights in June and everything was fantastic. The location for touring Dublin on foot was perfect, the beds were clean and comfy, the view was wonderful and the staff made it a point to cater to your evey need. We really could not have had a... I wanted to rate this place as good, but only had the choices of average or very good. This B&B is located a good 30 minute walk from the main sights in Dublin (Trinity College, Temple Bar, St. stephen's Green). THe area that it is located in is slightly run down but we never felt uncomfortable walking to or fro.... More
