Stauntons on the Green was perfect for our 4 night stay in Dublin. The location meant that we could walk to most of the places we wanted to visit; breakfast was excellent and our room was clean and comfortable. The Green at the front and the garden (plus access to Iveagh Gardens) at the back provided quiet spaces in a bustling city. A special mention to the staff who were consistently friendly, courteous and efficient. A great place to stay.

Our stay was very pleasant. This is a good central location in Dublin. Our room was quite spacious and had everything we needed. The room was very quiet despite being at the front of the building. There is a lovely garden out the back which I am sure is very nice in the warm summer months. The Staff were polite and friendly. The car parking is a St Stephens Green Shopping Centre which is about 10 minutes walk away. This might be a bit of a trek if you have big cases. The only negatives are that the pillows are TOO soft - this didn't suit me, And a very minor complaint - I don't think rocket should be served with a full Irish breakfast! However, overall this was a good experience and I would recommend Stauntons on the Green without hesitation.

Stayed for one night last month as was doing a (weekend) training course in Dublin. Fantastic warm welcome on arrival from young gentleman at reception. Same excellent service at checkout the following morning from him! Magnificent Georgian townhouse in an excellent central location. Lovely calm and peaceful ambiance in the hotel. Felt like a little oasis from the hustle and bustle of the City centre on its doorstep. Felt very safe walking back from dinner later that night, which is always a priority for me, and is not a given in Dublin City centre. Room spotlessly clean, comfortable. High quality bed and bedding. Great shower. Felt like a real treat to stay here! Much gratitude!

Stayed here in Feb. Staff lovely. Great location. Breakfast was on another level and beautifully presented. Room was small but comfortable. Walking distance to.many attractions. Only downside was renovations. I didn't realise as booked through booking.com and it wasn't mentioned. It is however on their Web page but only when you choose yr dates. It did spoil visit as noisey and felt we needed to stay away between 9 to 5. 830 works started so no lie in for us. I did express my dissatisfaction to owner who was very understanding and offered one of my three nights to be refunded. l would definitely stay at again once renovations completed.

A very good, well-run hotel. We stayed in a double room on the third floor, very comfortable and plenty of space. Bed was also comfortable. Bathroom rather small and no-where to put many toiletries down. Just a couple of towel hooks would have helped. Very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast - lovely fruit, yoghurt, tea, Irish bread and cake. Cooked items were extremely large so we couldn't manage them, so instead had a very nice scone between us. Good service here too. Garden at the back looked charming although the weather was first windy and then wet, so we couldn't go there. An idea position, very quiet, and near to lots of restaurants and all the sights. There is a tram stop a couple of minutes walk away, and the Aircoach from the airport stops round the corner. Highly recommended.

I was given a warm welcome when I arrived after a three and a half hour delay on my journey, and the hotel was as pleasant as I remembered it from last year. The rooms I had, although single rooms were spotless and everything was in working order, with masses of hot water and a delicious box of chocolates as a welcome gift. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. I had to have various rooms, as because of the storms my flights were unable to leave, so I ended up staying up three extra nights in the end. All the reception staff were very helpful, and sympathetic as it was all so uncertain. The breakfasts are top quality with an interesting menu choice and delicious home baking and fresh berries. All the staff, reception and breakfast waiters were so friendly and I felt a very personal relationship was offered. I’m afraid I don’t have individual names, but thank you to all of you, and I am looking forward to my next stay. Christina

Fabulous hotel, wonderful location. Walking distance to everything. All staff friendly and helpful whether it be breakfast staff or front desk. Had afternoon tea served by the manager, John. Hi John, your kind, welcoming, attentive demeanor was deeply appreciated. You are a valued guest here and not treated as a number. Would definitely return! We were fortunate to meet John's wife and family on our last night at the hotel. The Irish people are GREAT!

Amazing location in the heart of St Stephens Green. First time in this Hotel. I was here for a one night stay for work. When I pulled upside the hotel to drop off my luggage, a staff member was out immediately to carry in my bags. The ladies in reception were so lovely and welcoming. The room is a great size with all the usual hotel amenities. Great looking outdoor area which is unusual to see in the city and would be lovely in the summer. Great value for a one night stay in a city that can be very expensive. I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for my work Christmas party last month. Great location on the quiet side of St. Stephen's Green but only a short walk to most attractions with lots of nice pubs and restaurants nearby also. The staff were all extremely nice and helpful. I was with a large group and nothing was ever a problem. The hotel itself is a lovely old Georgian building (recently renovated) with loads of character and overlooks St Stephen's Green park to the front and Iveagh Gardens to the rear. All the rooms were spotless and cosy. This hotel is ideal for a city break or night out in Dublin. I would highly recommend.
