Paid more than 40 euro for a dingy room with no bathroom,,and to top it all i was welcomed with a cold shower in the morning,,I appreciate the atmosphere but even at budget prices you need some basic amenities.(and I'm not an old lady yet)

We stayed here the entire week we were in Dublin, and it is one of the best hostels I've been in. It was very clean, the breakfast was ok and free wifi (so rare in Europe unbelievably). However the best part was the customer service! The staff at the counter is so open and friendly and always ready to help... More

I went from London to spend a miniholidays in Dublin and under my view, all was perfect. I slept in the second floor and I must tell that either rooms and toilet very cleaned and tidy. The kitchen, which is quite big, has loads of draws and departments to keep food and there are two big fridges for the cool... More

We stayed at this hostel over the weekend. It was a bit loud Friday and Saturday nights, and sound travelled pretty easily to the first floor where we were staying. But the noise was not overly obnoxious, and we were able easily to fall asleep. The basement was a really nice feature, with a few different rooms to sit in... More

Great hostel, but we went during a rather calm period (beginning of april) so we missed some of the friendly spirit. There were some larger groups as well, which made the atmosphere more like a school trip. Anyway, we had a very nice stay in Isaacs Hostel, easy to find, helpful staff, comfy bunkbeds, clean lavatories, safe lockers. Sometimes it... More

Stayed in 3 different hostels in Dublin and this has to be my favourite. They've made an effort to create an atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and overall it's welcoming. The location was even better than I thought - close to shops, buses, food, etc. The bedrooms were comfortable enough - large room, decent beds, etc. This is also... More

Isaacs Hostel is located on a tiny little street right near the center of Dublin, just a short walk to O'Connell St. and literally around the corner from the AirLink bus stop that will take you to the airport (for which you can buy a ticket for 5 Euros at the front desk at Issacs, the normal price being 6... Unfortunately I think you must have been staying during a very busy period in the hostel - March is the busiest month of the year with lots of groups staying and as it is St. Patrick's festival, everyone was here to party. I am so sorry about the noise - we are looking into ways to improving the noise levels... More

Very impressed with lovely hostel, very clean and friendly staff. But the pillow and mattress were thick and uncomfortable. We slept just ok but everything else was great and it was clean. Shower was warm enough. The hostel is not really far from bus tour, activities, grocery, and big shopping mall. Great value of hostel. We will be back :)

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I had to laugh thought - some of our guest complained that our pillows were too thin and we have just replaced a lot of our pillows and you found it too thick. I'm sure we still have some of the thinner ones around the hostels. But thanks for the comments. More
