Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ok....so I never actually stayed here, and from the reviews I’m glad I didn’t, but I’ve never been treat treated so rudely by email before. My friends and I were looking to stay in Dublin for 3 weeks. As many of Ireland’s accomodations don’t have a website to book directly, I emailed several places to inquire as to rated and availability. I gave a very detailed description as to where I was from, the purpose of our visit, the dates we would need, etc. The first reply I got back was “Are you phishing?” What?! Seriously?! That’s the first reply a business gives an honest inquiry about a room? I shouldn’t have replied, but I explained my situation again. The next email said this .... “Yeah got all that. When you book your flights and have a realistic nightly budget email me what it is based on a per person per night and I'll see if its feasible.“ Um....How rude is that?! And shouldn’t you know your rates? I’m supposed to give you what I think is reasonable? I’ve never had a place of business be so rude and insulting. All I can say is their loss. They could have made a pretty good profit from a 3 week trip. But bc of that, I will never inquire to stay there again or recommend them. We ended up staying at a lovely guesthouse nearby St. Aiden’s Guesthouse. Much better experience. Don’t waste your time with this place.

This booking was part of a package booked through B&B Ireland. Absolutely disgusting in every way. Yuck! If I could choose zero stars I would. Honestly, this is about to be my worst review of any establishment. Customer Service: David Boyle, the caretaker or owner, not sure which is an incredibly rude and curt man via email and in person. When being given directions as to the many, many rules of the B&B, I started to take notes. To which he told me to "just stop and pay attention". Um, okay. But, you have so many rules, I thought. Location: There are no signs and this place is NOWHERE NEAR Downtown Dublin. Sketch area too and NO Parking. He lied on his ad. There is NO PARKING. Cleanliness: My friend and I got our key and went into the room and literally never took our coats off or put anything down for fear of bed bugs or worse. The coverlet/blankets on both beds had many hairs and human stains on it. Not to mention the shared bathroom was disgusting. The floors in the hallways were dirty enough to see dust balls and the room was worse. We were at this establishment for about 20 minutes. Just long enough to use the spotty wifi and book a hotel in Temple Bar area. After all this he still demanded payment through B&B Ireland. Wow!!! DO NOT BOOK HERE or STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Quite possibly the rudest man I’ve ever come across. Please avoid this place like the plague. We were made feel really uncomfortable from the get-go. The man who “greeted” us needs a reality check if he thinks that the way you treat paying guests. Definitely in the wrong business. He rang us to give out that we were late. Also, he burst into our bedroom in the morning. FYI, it states checkout is between 10:30 and 11:00. Not 10:30. Get it right. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Not worth it!! Sleep in a car if you have to! This place is a complete and utter farce.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Although it's an old house, the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was cooked fresh and delicious. St Jude's is a good way from the centre of Dublin, however, my husband and I decided to walk it which took about 45 minutes. An excellent B & B and I would have no hesitation staying here again. Thank you St Judes.

Not really pleasant place, no real private bathroom, the carpark is a lie, no WiFi in rooms, and the TV has been there for ages (totally obsolete). The price is much too high for such a dirty place... I'have been charged by creditcard without telling anything with of course an extra fee... This was an horrible experience, it ruined my holidays !!!

We stayed a night while attending a Wedding at Castle Bellingham. Very clean room and the grounds are lovely with a little river flowing through the garden. Walking distance of everything in town. Short taxi ride up to the Castle. Excellent cooked breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area or looking for a less expensive option than the hotels in Dundalk.

I was only going to stay 3 days, but the bus strike kept me in Galway. Talk about good fate during traveling? The B&B was clean, friendly, and very helpful. I had a ground floor small room that was right for me. The brothers served a wonderful breakfast every morning; the cooking smells lured me out of bed. The brothers were very helpful suggesting day trips. They had a quiet location about 5 minutes from the train station and close to the main center of town. Have good memories.

Don't bother. Not welcoming, scant service and dreadful breakfast but elderly lady lovely. Guaranteed our reservation with a credit card and assumed we could pay with the same. It was made very obvious cash was expected, luckily between the two of us we had enough. On our departure there was nobody around to say as much as a goodbye.

We found the two brothers, Sean and Donal, to be extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was large and comfortable and the ensuite had plenty of hot water. Breakfast was plentiful with a great selection of hot food and drinks as well as pastries. We'd definitely stay there again Phil and Carole.

Stayed here our last day in Ireland, wanted to be close to airport... great room, very quiet for being in city, clean, comfortable, less than 20 minutes to airport, owner packed us a "carry-out" breakfast since we had to leave early, very nice, would highly recommend! We also visited some sights in Dublin during the day, used public transportation, which worked out great (much better than driving in Dublin which is a nightmare)
