Recently stayed in the cliff house and from the start I was disappointed, the exterior is the best part, once the company had made the booking I waited 5 days for the booking receipt as the hotel kept using an incorrect email address finally a confirmation was sent after numerous calls. Once I arrived I was presented with a discussion... More

My wife and I stayed in early January . Our first night away from the kids in 4 years . It was easy to find and the Stephens green car park wasn't to far away. We checked in fine( lovely receptionist ). Finding our room was a nightmare (what a maze) but we had a good laugh over it .... More

Maybe it's age. Maybe I'm just too fussy? My colleagues enjoyed the experience, but I was quite disappointed. The food was fine, though the waiter seemed to be challenged with our requests (my request for a well done chop, brought me a very rare chop and a colleague who three times said he did not want mushy peas with his... We really enjoyed our stay in the Cliff Town House last weekend and the hospitality shown to us was first class. Everything from the lovely room overlooking the green to the delicious meal and breakfast that we had in the restaurant was relaxing and perfect. If we didn’t have to return home to the baby sitter we could easily have... More

Had a meal with my wife. Started off that they had lost our reservation and after a few mins of searching the roster we got ushered to a table beside the waiter station. Both Starters of spiced beef and goats cheese were fantastic. rib eye main was tasty but beef fillet was bland. Choc mousse desert was poor. Bottle of... More

Myself and my wife stayed here on the October B/H weekend, I was in Dublin to do the Dublin Marathon. The hotel location is the best in Dublin, its right on Stephens Green so perfect for sight seeing, shopping, eating out and nightlife. The hotel staff were excellent and gave me a free late checkout to accomodate me doing the... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Cliff Townhouse, over the October Bank Holiday weekend. The room was charming and well put together, with a nice sized bathroom and comfy queen sized bed. It was at the top of the building and the lift didn't go all the way up there, but that just gave us a chance to explore... More

This house sits directly across from St. Stephen's Green, a short walk away from Trinity College and several great National Museums. A variety of eats are available all around. But certainly try the hotel's restaurant. Great breakfasts cooked to order and dinners. The room we stayed in was smallish, but certainly adequate for a five day visit. Cleaned up every... More

Dear Cigarron, Many thanks for the detailed feedback and positive review. Good location. There was a smell of food in reception when we arrived . Also the lift stank of kitchen waste which must have been transported in there. Some beer kegs outside life and a random table and chairs stored on the landing, Gave the feel of a hotel that didn't really care. Room was lovely apart from the bathroom... More

Dear Blueclax, Thank you for your review and please be assured that we are addressing all the issues you have highlighted. The smell in the lift was due to a water leak into the lift shaft and has been resolved. The housekeeping issues you raised regarding the furniture, kegs and bathroom are not acceptable and I have spoken to the... More
