Staying at this hostel in Donegal was definitely the highlight of my trip. The owners and their daughter are very warm and welcoming. The hostel is a bit older, but it is kept very clean. The mattress I slept on was a bit hard, but the welcoming warm environment buffered that. There is a nice commons area with a fireplace,... More

I stayed here for two nights. Despite the hostel being a km or so outside of town, the warm welcome given by Linda more than made up for its distance from town. The hostel is in a lovely white big house on a hill overlooking the Killybegs Road. It had a lovely lounge area with coal fireplace tended to.by.Linda constantly.... More

Linda and Andy were so friendly giving us lots of information about places to visit in donegal and helping us sort out hostel world issues changing our reservation. We had booked in a six bed dorm but were put in a triple and with no third person arriving my friend and I had the room to ourselves which was nice.... More

Linda made this hostel a brilliant experience. She was unbelievably helpful in pointing me in the right directions. This hostel is very well kept with a lot of character in and out side of the hostel. It is quiet and has a beautiful view. Plenty of places to sit and relax or mingle with other travelers. It is about a... More

The reception is very friendly. Nice common area. The kitchen is basic. The rooms had a strange smell. Providing some basic breakfast (bread and jam) in the morning would level up the hostel given that the nearest shop is 1.5km away. The showers are outdated but warm enough and reasonably clean (wouldn't like to know though how it looks when... More

This hostel wasn't bad but we definitely stayed at better during our trip in Ireland. We found that the kitchen smelled a bit, and we felt the shared areas such as kitchen and bathrooms could have been cleaner. Our bedroom was fine, as were the other rooms we saw, so no problems as far as that is concerned, although we... More

We spent only a night in the hostel and unfortunately didn't meet the owner itself, but her daughters were helping out there and we had the most amazing experience ever. They where really kind to us and helpful. I cannot say a bad word about them. The place is clean and nice. They had a real fire place which was... More

linda, andy, and their daughter laura are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. their rooms are clean and functional. it's located quite conveniently if travelling by car, but a short hike if hoofing it. it's not the largest hostel i've ever been in, but it's a fair size, and when a full house is up, it gets rocking, late into the... This place has to be one of the best hostels in Ireland. Located about 1km out of town, its an way walk to the pubs in the towns diamond. Linda the owner is incredible. So helpful and so friendly. She advised us on the best places to go and made sure that solo travellers were introduced and included in proceedings.... More

When my best friend came over to visit me we decided to go to my favourite place in the North of Ireland: Donegal Town. We arrived at Donegal Town Independent Hostel and a warm welcome awaited us. Blue sky in the dorms, a fully equipped kitchen, hot showers, a big sitting room with open real fire, and a giant collection... More
