We stayed in the Sand House Hotel for a couple of nights. The hotel is in a great location and has potential to a great hotel from the outside. Inside the decor is outdated & the facilities in the room are very bad: No mini-bar, no room service, the shower was awful and it had the smallest TV in world.... More

I stayed here for a weekend and it remains one of my favourite hotels of all time. It is pure tranquil from the moment you step in the door to taking in the view from the bedrooms. My boyfriend tried out surfing whilst I watched from the warmth and luxury of the room. The food was great and I loved... More

Wow, amazing to fall asleep listening to the ocean every night! Our room overlooked the ocean. It was a quiet weekend and not many people were staying at the hotel. The fireplace downstairs was warm but you cannot eat or drink right there next to it. Our room was huge as was the bathroom. While I agree that some basic... More

Falling asleep to the sound of the sea is simply bliss!!! So my one big tip if you're going to stay in the sandhouse is to 'ask for a seaview room'. We had only booked a standard room but upon arrival, we happened to ask if there was any seaview rooms still available and the very pleasant receptionist was more... More

We stayed here recently and had been really looking forward to our break away. The hotel is situated on a magnificant beach with fantastic views. Luckily we were given a very large room with a great sea view. I would agree with the previous poster in relation to the price, this hotel relies too heavily on the setting and not... More

having booked room a few days prior to our arrival we were informed that there was no record of this at hotel . . no apologies were made and we were told that in using booking.com that we would immediately have forfeited the possibility of a room with a sea view . .take note . . no rooms with sea... Came across this 4* hotel by chance.what a real gem .Our room had a four poster bed and a chez lounge.all the room contained antique furniture with a fantastic ocean view. The has antique furniture throughout and has beautiful areas where you can sit and view the ocean or read. Other hotels would do well to base their standard of... More

Stayed for 3 nights in Sandhouse hotel on rossnowlagh beach outside ballyshannon. As mentioned in title ,food was excellant. Breakfast & dinner were both supreme with a change in menu for dinner each night. Service very good, timing between courses & the view form the conservatory at the back of the hotel where the meals are located at the moment was... More
