Situated close to the Shannon Airport, a great stopping location for any early flights. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed, very comfortable beds. The views available from the sunroom were fantastic. Joan was a fantastic hostess and I would definitely recommend staying here.

This place is wonderful and our family truly loved staying here. The four horses, the fantastic view of the lake, the lovely gardens, and the amazing sunroom with it's comfy furnishings and fabulous views all combined to make this a most enjoyable visit. We stayed at Lakeside in Ennis as a hub to visit the cliffs of Moher and the Burren. We loved the sheep and horses on the grounds. Lakeside Lodge has a beautiful setting with a large garden and friendly Connemara ponies. There is a view across the lake to 13th Century abbey ruins, well worth exploring. A bit tough to find, but worth getting off the beaten track, even if you have an early flight.

The scenery is as good as it gets. I couldn't stop taking pictures of the horse with the abbey in the background. Very friendly service and good hot breakfast. The room was large but the beds are pretty hard. If I wanted a retreat to the country I would definitely come back!

Hostess is crabby and tired. Not interested in us at all. Beds and pillows were hard, no tv even in family room. Close to Shannon airport and 50 minutes to the cliffs of moher. Beautiful setting on lake with view of abbey ruins.
