Surely the nicest hostel in the nicest surrounding I've ever seen! Short path to beautiful beach, hiking, etc. I Love it. More

All of Iona is amazing, and the hostel was the perfect place for us to stay while we were there! It is a ways off the road, so the only way to get there is on foot. And once you are there, you are only feet from the rocky beach on the ocean! The hostel is clean and comfortable. We... More

A very comfortable hostel, with a great kitchen/dining area and fantastic views nearby. The bathroom facilities were clean and hot water was, thankfully, in good supply. We weren't quite prepared for the length of the walk to the hostel though - maybe it was our lack of preparedness. But it's about a 30min walk from the port, with a single... More

We stayed six nights in Iona hostel and are very happy we choose for this place. The staff, Jolanda, Andrew and Jamie are very friendly, the rooms are clean and so are the bathrooms. The only thing we did not like very much was when a large group arrived who captured the kitchen and the common room. And we have... More

This is a first-rate hostel...clean, comfortable and welcoming, with a world-class setting on the northern part of the Isle of Iona. We stayed for two nights with two small children, and will certainly be back! The beaches just to the north of the hostel are unforgettable. Inside, the hostel features large rooms with comfortable beds and plenty of toilets and... More

We only stayed for one night so it was a very brief visit but I'll definitely be back. Spacious clean bedrooms, a lovely, homely kitchen living space and hot showers. It was lovely just to sit and read and chat to other residents. Staff were very friendly. It's a bit of a walk from the ferry so not ideal if... More

It is extremely rare to find a hostel such as this one. Incredible! The beds are soo comfortable, and they provide you with really nice duvets. The kitchen is big, super clean, and well stocked with pots/pans/dishes and a few additional food items like spices and cereal. Honestly, I don't think it is possible to have a bad experience on... The hostel is on a Sheep farm. The location is the best for any of the hotels or B&Bs on the island. You cross a field and get to a beautiful beach. It has clean, fine white sand with some sand dunes to play on. The water is clear, clean, and not even that cold. There are rocks for shelter.... More

this was a refreshing alternative to staying in the abbey accommodation which naturally has a different atmosphere. Here the walks and the views and the fresh air are an intoxicating potion right into nature ,the wild side of the atlantic and pure fresh air. Run by john and michele you really would have to be having a bad hair day to... More
