This hotel was not to bad untll the breakfast experience. This was like something from faulty towers. We were told to "take a table up there" and had to remove chairs from stairs to get to a table. We were not offered tea or coffee and had to eventually ask for it after we had finished our breakfast. Fresh fruit... More

We have stayed here before and have been pleased but on this occasion the room was awful. It seemed to be a single room with a small double bed squeezed into it.The room stank strongly of cigarette smoke and the walls and carpet were filthy. There was a set of drawers with one draer completely missing and there was only one chair.We... Stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Ayr with my golfing buddies. Have to say great service, helpful receptionists and great location to shops, central to all Golf courses, minutes walk away from clubs and restaurants. Our favourite being the Indian - Ayr India. Here again in the summer and will most certainly stay here again!!

Good hotel for family stay and rooms were nice and big could have done with a small room fridge for keeping the kids milk and juice in

This hotel is ok. Nicely done out and reasonably priced although i found the drinks and breakfast a bit expensive. The staff were all lovely and seemed really hard-working. Our room was lovely, really well decorated and nice view. One problem was the bathroom though, the extractor fan didn't work so it got very, very steamy when showering etc. Also... More

Dear Guest Many thanks for your feedback. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. The hotel drinks pricing is in line with all other hotels in the area. As part of the Accor rebrand the hotel is currently investing revenue in certain areas and the hotel extraction fan on the roof has since been replaced ensuring adequate... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Mercure Ayr for a Saturday night in April 2012. We bought a “buyagift” voucher on one of their specials so managed to get one of their “Room, Dinner, breakfast deals” for a little cheaper then their advertised price of £149. The hotel from the outside is nothing special, its a bit ugly actually.... More
