My girlfriend and myself stayed at Dunmurray Lodge this month for the second time this year and enjoyed another fantastic stay. Having stayed here several times over the years with my parents and younger brother we knew our stay was going to be first class once again. As soon as you enter the house Tony and Irene give you a... More

We have just returned after two wonderful days at this delightful guesthouse where the hospitality from Irene and Tony was first class. We could find no fault at all and thoroughly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a restful break in Pitlochry. Very clean and spacious - tastefully decorated bedrooms.

Equal best of 20 B&Bs stayed at en route from Lands End to John o'Groats. Combination of room size, lounge, comfort, quiet, hospitality was second to none at average price we paid. Breakfast choice was best we encountered. No downsides. Location is up a hill - but we are 70, were travelling by public transport, had rucksacks and a wheeled... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in early October. Our room was comfortable and well equipped, with items such as wine glasses and a bottle opener which you wouldn't necessarily expect in a B&B. The bed even had an electric blanket. The guesthouse is tastefully furnished and the owners are very helpful in giving ideas for day trips etc. Breakfasts... More

We stayed last September in this B&B. It was our second time that we stayed there and again it was really good! The rooms are spacious and clean. And the breakfast, so much you can choose to eat! Tony & Irene have very goods tips for what you can visit or where to eat! They are very friendly! To stay... More

We stayed here for one night in September on our way up to the highlands. Dunmurray Lodge is situated uphill from Pitlochry centre, possibly too far to walk for the less able. There is parking for 2-3 cars at the back of the property, other than that I don't know of the nearest available parking. The house itself was beautiful... More

Dunmurray Lodge is about a short downhill walk from the centre of Pitlochry. It's a beautiful house and there are extra touches everywhere to make your stay comfortable. Tony and Irene are great hosts and we really enjoyed our visit. Thank you both!!

We recently had an excellent one night stay on our way to Ullapool. The room was spotless, very pleasant and extremely comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful! Tony and Irene couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and we greatly enjoyed our long chat with Tony before heading off next morning. Only a brief stay, but we would highly recommend... More

We stayed in the Stewart room for 3 days from 19 September. The room was small - it was difficult to open the bathroom door without it catching on the bed. This was acknowledged by the owner with the comment that "the price reflects that". There does not appear to be anything on the website to indicate that this room... More

Two weeks prior to this guests visit Dunmurray Lodge was subjected to the Visit Scotland Quality Control Inspection and were graded high end 4*. Additionally, the vast majority of TA reviews grade Dunmurray Lodge as Excellent. Dunmurray Lodge is our home and we are genuinely sorry that the real benefits of our guest house were, in this instance, invisible to... More

On reading the comments of purple022, I thought that I would put forward my views as this is not the place we describe as our highland retreat. Dunmurray has two very fine hosts in Tony and Irene.Welcoming, warm and make every possible effort to meet the needs of their guests. Any request is dealt with total customer satisfaction. Both really... More
