I drive to Inverness on a daily basis and it is a 120 mile round trip. I have been looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights a week and ended up at this hostel. It is, unarguably, the cheapest place to stay in Inverness but it is NOT a nice place and you will leave Inverness... More

I have never stayed somewhere that I can safely say that there is no positives. I still cant as the following events led to myself and friends having to sleep in our cars in a car park. When we arrived the staff didn't really seem to have any idea of what they were doing. The hostel consists of a few... More

Travelling with a group, paid for beds then went out to the cinema. When we returned more than half our beds were taken! Ended up having to sleep in our cars. Thankfully got a full refund without much hassle the following morning. There was a bad smell of BO on arrival and the beds seemed a bit of a mixture... More

firstly, we arrived at 2pm to check in, only to find a sign on the door saying reception is closed until 5pm, come back then or phone our receptionist on this number, it was freezing outside so we called and called, no answer, when we returned at 5pm to check in the man had no idea about how much we... We found our room freezing. The duvet was very thin and some of the duvets were not long enough to cover a full person. We stayed Friday and Saturday night and found the noise of the "locals" outside hard to block out. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

We had a reservation with hostlelworld.com/ryanair. They gave us a tiny room in a private sort of guesthouse with no staff to keep the other guests, that were noisy teenagers, in check: it was quite far from the central location (in the busy uphill road in front of Inverness castle), the shared shower didn't work, found lots of somebody's hair... I stayed here for three nights in January 2010. Staff did not have my reservation (although, in all fairness, I had booked the place the night before). The hostel itself is up two flights of winding stairs; keep this in mind if you've got heavy luggage. They only take cash, but require your credit card information (which I'm starting to... More

I turned up at 8 pm in Inverness, looking for somewhere cheap to stay, and was glad just to be certain of finding a bed without too much phoning around. It's in the middle of the city, about five minutes walk from the Ness bridge, close to the main shops. The reception is on the 2nd floor, with other dorms... More

Stayed in hostel for 3 nights with my partner and best friend. Hostel in an excellent location and good price. Hostel needing a good clean though, not great when you need to pull hair out the plughole! Beds not the most comfortable and rooms were a bit hot especially after a big sesh the night before! Would recommend to those... More
