The guesthouse is a family run business, who have renovated the rooms over the years, my room had quality bedding and furnishings, plenty of tea coffee and milk. A quiet, impeccably clean, reasonably priced, historical guest house ideally located in the center of town. We had a lovely room overlooking the river and were sorry our stay wasn't longer. My friends and I stayed here the night before we started cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End. In spite of our arrival on the last train from London (10.30pm!) Lovely traditional building with modern look on the inside. Great value for money, and really clean and comfortable. Only stayed one night, but it was very peaceful and breakfast was excellent. Would definitely come back and recommend to others. More
