We spent two nights in the hotel and ate there in the evening, all the staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable and nothing was to much trouble for them. The room was clean and comfortable although a little dated which is a very small criticism given the overall experience. We would certainly stay here again and would recommend... More

My mother and I arrived late. The heater and a lamp was turned on for our arrival.. The room was as warm as toast..the owner was there to meet us and take our luggage to our rooms. Helpful friendly staff. Couldn't do enough for us. Old property but adds to the charm. Food great.

On arrival the hotel looks a bit on the old and dowdy side. But you know the old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover". You will be greeted by very friendly staff or the owner. I believe the hotel has changed hands recently and the owber is making inprovements including fitting new double glazing. The rooms are big... More

Had a meal in the bar which was excellent. Can also recommend the Orkney ale. Room & shower were clean & comfortable if a bit tired. Breakfast was very good too. The only real downside was that despite the nice desk space for a laptop, the wifi didn't work in the room - only in the reception & bar areas.

Stayed at the hotel for one night before heading to Orkney and it was sufficient for that. The room was very tired looking, and in need of a complete makover, Staff were helpfull, food was a decent pub standard. Reasonable value though.
