We stayed in Courtyard Cottage 10 last week and it was a wonderful cosy cottage with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The Abbey itself was very special, with beautiful veiws on the shores of Loch Ness.Plenty to do with the club lounge, swimming pool and fitness room.It was fairly quiet that week my son and I had the pool to ourselves each... My husband I have just returned from a weeks stay at the highland club. We were in the bowmore apartment in raven wing. Decorated to a high standard with everything you could need. It was toasty warm as it snowed during our stay. Had a lovely view of the mountains. We made use of the games room, the table tennis... More

We had such a fantastic time, this place is amazing. Beautiful and well maintained appartments, set in the stunning Abbey...There are actually two separate entries on trip advisor for the same place - make sure you also check out the Aonach Mor Luxury Holiday Accommodation reviews to get the full picture (and see my more detailed review). We stayed at the Highland Club in July 2011 and can only recommend this place to all seeking a special place to stay in Scotland. We lived in Chapter House that was an extraordinary holiday experience. There we had plenty of space and a real luxury interior. All in all the location is wonderful and there is plenty to do-... You really made good use of your time here. Within and beyond the village boundaries are some lovely walks as well. More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the St Benedict Abbey Highland Club of Scotland. The setting on Loch Ness is absolutely beautiful. The apartments are spacious, comfortable and completely updated with flat screen televisions and modern appliances. And there are some scenic walks in and around Fort Augustus. The developers have done a remarkable job of converting the old Abbey... More

Many of the original architectural features remain too - it's very interesting just wandering around the abbey - something novel around every corner. More

We stayed at the Highland Club in March in the Boys dormatory. The Abbey is beautiful and the grounds are lovely. The Boys Dormatory had absolutely everything you need for that perfect holiday in Scotland. The views from the arched window of the loch are stunning. Everything is finished to such a high quality. Another good point is that there... More

It's true - everything is close at hand, but if you want solitude, the hills are just beyond the village boundaries. More

Have recently arrived home from our stay at the abbey and felt I just had to write a review! what can i say, it's the best place i have ever stayed and will definitely return! this magnificent building sitting on the edge of Loch ness is a breathtaking place to base yourself. It's convenient for days out at both the... More

Due to the abbey's central location, the distances to all points are not as far as you might imagine - from Fort william to John O'Groats, and from the Isle of Skye to the Cairngorms. The Moray Firth dolphins are just outside Inverness. More

Spent Christmas 2010 here with my family and had a brilliant time. Upon arrival we buzzed for the concierge who met us right away and guided us though the basics. The cottage was beautiful and exceeded expectations. Clean, bright and roomy with comfortable beds and furniture. The large kitchen was great for preparing food for Christmas Day. Two minute walk... I booked an apartment for 4 nights at the Higland Club for 2 couples. The apartment we had, Old School 8, was excellent. It looked exactly like the photos! Charles, the manager showed us around the Abbey. It was most impressive. About the only down side I could say about this place was the internet. They advertise they have wifi... More
