I stayed with my sister and friends 5 days at this hotel. I must say that I was not for the first time in England (although, I know: England is not Scotland) and I had my experiences with everything that means accommodation (hotels and guest houses). But, when we came to the hotel, it was a pleasantly surprise for all... More

The Kelvin is a lovely little hotel with a genuine family feel. Olde worlde friendliness and warmth, combine with spotlessly clean, well-presented rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast is served in the charming dining room, filled with nostalgia and gracious gentility. The hotel is close to the Kelvingrove Museum Glasgow University and well-placed for taxis to and from city centre. Te staff... More

The Kelvin is a wonderful little B&B in a magnificent Georgian townhome in Glasgow's West End, just a five minute walk from Hillhead underground station. Lots of buses go by on adjacent Great Western and Byers Road. It has the added bonus of being just around the corner from the beautiful Glasgow Botanical Gardens. The owners were most accommodating. One of us spent two nights in the hotel itself and two of us spent several nights in the self-catering apartment-style accommodation. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful (they even accepted a package I had shipped there in advance); everything is spotlessly clean; the bedrooms are located in the quietest part of the house and the beds are firm... We were recommended to this hotel by a friend and found it excellent in service, decor and warmth of welcome. Our bedroom was clean, warm and comfortable. The breakfast was first class. We would recommend it to others and intend to return ourselves later this year. More

Two tall Victorian houses, well converted into a simple hotel. Everything well cared for, with thick carpets, fresh paint, some nice architectural details. Bedroom and bathroom clean, with somewhere to sit and a dressing table to work at. Free wifi, weak (but adequate) in some parts of the room. Comfortable mattress and I slept well. Quiet within the hotel; comforting... More

In November, my wife and I traveled by car to Glasgow. Kelvin Hotel is very easy to find. It is located in the vibrant West area. We made our choice for Kelvin Hotel as they accept dogs, which is not self-evident in Great Britain. The hotel is in a nice Victorian house with very nice, tidy decoration, lamps, furnitures, carpets... More

this is my second time staying here with a group, clean, friendly, good for a large group, yummy breakfast and friendly staff. it's more of a guest house then a hotel, but sometimes a guest house is a much nicer way to spend a trip. More

My wife and I went for a short break in October half term week. Initial impression is stong and the owner helped us park our car in the small car park at the rear of the hotel. The building is architecturally impressive and the public rooms high ceilinged and airy. Our room in the basement was ok - it was... More
