We chose this hotel for it's close proximity to the SECC which is only a ten-minute walk away. If you are looking for a good-value hotel, convenient for exploring the wonderful city of Glasgow and all it has to offer, then look no further. There are plenty of shops/restaurants nearby but if you want to try Mother India (opposite the... More

I have used this hotel a couple of times when attending a concert at the nearby SECC - only 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Both times the hotel has provided a good nights sleep, and a nice cooked breakfast before departing. Only real gripes are small shower cubicles and lack of lift. Plenty nearby restaurants and pubs if you... More

Just returned from our latest trip to Glasgow and a stay at the Sandyford. We managed to get an excellent price for the weekend and cannot fault this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. I phoned ahead and asked for a room on the lower floors when i first... More

We stayed over the Saturday to Sunday and were very happy with our stay. Rooms were spotless and beds were very comfortable. Only reason I didn't give an excellent was no air conditioning ... it was very warm in the room so needed either air conditioning or a fan. There isn't a lift which would maybe put people off but... We stayed at the Sandyford for one night 26th to 27th May, the room was small but spotlessly clean with TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The bed wasn't the most comfortable one that I've slept in but was ok. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel and a good Indian restaurant... More

Second time visited. Was good like the first time. For the price it was an excellent stay. Clean rooms good beds. For breakfast you have a descent choice of cooked stuff with a buffet with cold stuff. The only downside was on the first night I had some loud people on the street outside.

Good location and price and plenty of choice of bars and restaurants in the vacinity. Hotel staff were friendly, rooms were spacious and clean and there was a great choice for breakfast. Met our needs well and we would definately stay here again.

Recently made my trip to glasgow for a short weekend break with friends, and we selected the Sandyford Hotel from a selection of internet bookings. very good location just around half a mile from george's square and kelvingrove park. Also to add a bus stop right outside hotel for easy access, the city open top tour bus also stops here... More
