I have stayed twice at this hotel now - predominantly for the standard of rooms and its close proximity to the West End, particularly Byres Road and Botanic Gardens. I stayed on the top floor (Rm 25) and loved the view from the window - across the rooftops to the distant mountains. The room was of good standard - clean... More

Very good value. Great location for West End of Glasgow - very near Byres Road and Botanics. Large very clean rooms, no frills but comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was nothing special but offered reasonable choice - although no bacon. More

We spent a very comfortable night in this hotel after we first flew in to Scotland. Heritage is charming and very inexpensive, with a great location. We walked to the Garden and around that corner of the city, found some sweet little secondhand shops, and even a gay (or possibly just gay friendly?) pub/coffee shop on the corner below the... More

Great location in the West End of Glasgow. Very friendly, helpful staff with 24hr reception, clean, large rooms and warm, free WiFi. Recommended if you don't need somewhere with direct vehicular access. More

Overall, our 2 night stay at this hotel was fine. The location was excellent, ideal for Byres Road and The Botanical Gardens. The welcome we received was friendly and helpful. The room and en suite shower room were clean and comfortable. So far, so good! However, the breakfast let down what really is a good hotel. Terrible Turkey Rashers instead... More

I enjoyed my week's stay at this Hotel - August 2011, it was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed in Room 13 at the top of the house - the only downside was the 63 steps to reach it and yes, they did carry my luggage up for me - however, I'm in my... More

Me and my boyfriend were just staying for one night and we didn't arrive until 12am. The hotel is very clean, we were on the top floor and the view was great, the breakfast wasn't the best but what do you expect for the price?! Great range of things for breakfast though, cereals, fresh fruit etc. I thought the bed... More

Stayed here during summer 2011, had two lovely rooms at very top of house which were well furnished, roomy and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Shower could do with a lot more water pressure. Staff helpful and friendly bar one very sullen breakfast waitress. Breakfast was a tad disappointing with rubbery scrambled egg... More

This hotel was a great disappointment. First impressions are very bad and it then gets worse. To get into the hotel involves side entrances to the terrace passing litter and broken glass strewn dirty areas - one being a gathering place for local druggies. Both involve a steep climb from the main road. There is no vehicle access to this... More
