I am such a fan of Duck's Crossing. It was definitely one of the highlights of our visit in St. Andrews. The place is cozy and charming- everything that a B&B should be. Our room had every necessary comfort as well as nice little extras such as a heated towel rack and an assortment of coffees, teas, and biscuits. If... More

Duck's Crossing is an excellent, cosy guesthouse with a great location. Monica is a wonderful hostess and highly hospitable. The breakfasts were superb and kept me going all day. I especially enjoyed the duck eggs and vegetarian haggis. I was very comfortable and had everything I needed. I will definitely be staying here again if I am ever back in... More

The situation is just ideal; walking distance from the town centre but quiet at night. The house is lovely, full of interesting curios with charming touches' and a nice terrace to use in the sunshine. Our bedroom was very comfortable, nice biscuits, decent tea, guest fridge so fresh milk and orange juice, lots of towels, a basic TV (3 channels but... More

For a short visit, perhaps like us to sample the delights of the Old Course and some other links courses in the neighbourhood, this small B & B ticks all of the necessary boxes. It's comfortable, Monica is a congenial and chatty hostess, the location is excellent (central but quiet), and the breakfasts were well prepared and varied - smoked... More

Staying with Monica, even for the first time, was like staying with a long-term friend. Her friendly, welcoming nature puts a guest so at ease in her house, making one feel special. The other guests were fantastic also, ensuring breakfasts and meals together were sublime. Rooms are excellent, food exquisite and location perfect. More

I booked in November for my son's June graduation, and Monica spent the intervening months emailing advice and encouragement. During graduation week Monica arranged quick laundry service, arranged meal reservations, provided the all important hat, and kept us laughing with her wry tales. Breakfasts with two other sets of grad parents were especially fun; it's as if we were visiting... More

We love St Andrews and usually rent a house there for a week or two but if you're just staying 2 or 3 nights this central (five minutes walk from the centre), but quietly located, Victorian terraced house is just the thing - particularly, if like me, you don't want a tartan carpeted bland hotel with golf clubs on the...
