Food really poor and expensive for meagre portions of low quality produce. A few years ago the hideaway was one of the best places to eat but not now. Such a shame. Couldn't comment on the rooms as did not stay.

We stayed at the hideaway as attending a wedding close by, The website says £65 per double room with breakfast!! The breakfast was continental not your typical full scottish breakfast that we would have liked after being to a wedding. Did not use hotel on this occasion, would recommend here for quality food.
None of the microwave or boil in the bag stuff. Chef here knows what he/she is doing.
5* food at 3* prices.
