Food really poor and expensive for meagre portions of low quality produce. A few years ago the hideaway was one of the best places to eat but not now. Such a shame. Couldn't comment on the rooms as did not stay. More

the food was terrible went for the safe opption of scampi and chips because not a very good variety on the menu, the chips and the scampi were unercooked i had one bite and left the rest. The staff had no idea of service and very untidy dress sense. The decoration in the place is of very bad taste cheap... More

We stayed at the hideaway as attending a wedding close by, The website says £65 per double room with breakfast!! The breakfast was continental not your typical full scottish breakfast that we would have liked after being to a wedding. Did not use hotel on this occasion, would recommend here for quality food. None of the microwave or boil in the bag stuff. Chef here knows what he/she is doing. 5* food at 3* prices. 12 out of 10!!!!! More
