Went during the Edinburgh Festival when all hotels charged premium for their room. Owner is a Moroccan Muslim and very hospitable. Enjoyed the Scottish breakfast which includes Scottish style black pudding, sliced sausage and tattie scones.

We decided to have a break in Edinburgh and take in The Phantom of the Opera, the whole visit was ist.class and it started when we checked in at the Granville the guest house was clean,very friendly,and the breakfast was 2nd. to none. It made our weekend,and we can not thank our hosts enough, would recomend to anyone.

If you´re going to visit Edimburgh , this is a perfect place to rest after long walking . Bus stop near the front door, buses to City center. The owner is very helpfull , and serves a fantastic scotish breakfast . Cheap and clean .

Proprietor insisted we paid on the spot even though we had booked through an agent. He even showed me all the correspondence stating he was to bill the agency. Very unpleasant and unprofessional.
