We paid £60 a night and this hotel was well worth it as i have payed a lot lot more for such a central location. The room was basic but clean, although the bathroom's are very small so i would not suggest this property for larger guests! Breakfast was served next door and was absoloutly fantastic. Really good selection of... More

I loved this B&B. Delicious hot breakfast served quickly and personally. Personal attention, family owned. I did not think the room was the small. It was actually average sized and nice. Very lovely. More

This is a very nice hotel, located 10 minutes walk from Edimburg's center. Rooms are small but renovated, in a quite area. Full breakfast is served. We had singles for 40 pounds including Breakfast! More

I booked a very short stay here recently and have ended up regretting paying for what appeared on the face of it to be a cheap guest house. The Eyre Guest house itself is all fair and well if you are on a short stay and want to be based somewhere which is an approximately 15 minute walk to the... More

We staid at the Eyre Guest House and it was fantastic. It was a warm comfortable place. Friendly managers and great breakfast. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. More

Great breakfast and friendly staff, bathroom was not cleaned and there was an old soap bar left in the shower, drain clogged etc. If you are taller than 175 ask for a longer bed. Steep staircase and no lift. Wifi did not work at all, only in the breakfast room in the next building. Parking outside is free during weekends. More

Stayed here for a weekend recently and had a very enjoyable stay. We had a large twin room with two double beds overlooking the back gardens. Nice and quiet and very clean. Kay and Kenny were very friendly and let us use the main lounge to have drinks with friends one night which was much appreciated. Will definitely go there... More

I admit I hesitantly booked the Eyre as it was one of the few affordable places that wasn't booked up for Hogmanay (and this was in June of 2010!). My hesitation was due to some of the less flattering reviews, but I ended up making the Eyre my home away from home for two weeks. I found the room to... More

The Eyre Guest House is in a lovely part of the city surrounded by beautiful Georgian buildings, boutique shops and cafes and it's just a short walk (about 10mins) to Prince's Street. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we initially had high hopes of finding a top quality family run B&B with a personal touch. However, although... More

Stayed at the Eyre Guest House for 3 nights in July, while in Edinburgh to watch the 2010 British Open in St. Andrews. Location-wise, I would consider it so-so. I mean..really the main street(s) are Princes Street (about a 15 minute slightly hilly walk or 2 minute bus ride) and the Royal Mile (about a 30 minute walk or 5... More
