My wife and I stayed at this guest house based on the listing in the Rick Steve's guide books. Like typical Rick recommendations, this B&B is a solid choice. Good value, especially in the off season. Clean room, great breakfast between 8 and 9 am (made to order - you select your choices the night before) small shower and bathroom,... More

The owner makes this place! Jill was so helpful! She had the best maps and advice and never steered us wrong! The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great. We enjoyed the walk every day to the Royal Mile and this was our favorite B&B in Scotland! More

This B&B is within walking distance of The Royal Mile if you like to walk. If it is raining, there is a bus stop nearby. The owner is quite helpful, and provided a sweet "tablet" like fudge as well as tea and cookies. She gave us a good area map which listed local pubs and places to eat. The room... More

I' ve stayed three nights in Airdenair, together with my wife and daughter. We' felt like at home. My daughter was starting first year in Edinburgh University and we were all very worried about her living home for a foreign country. Jill gave us some good advices like a friend which helped us to clear some of our concerns. This... More

Quite a nice place. Not quite the smartest room, but good for the price. Jill and Jenny were welcoming and pleasant and we would recommend this hotel. More

I enjoyed my three nights stay at Airdenair, which is located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood a little over a mile southeast of the city center. Bus, cab, or walking (go through Meadows park) are all very doable. Jill is a seasoned host and her parent's "tablet" are an addictive treat. My room was spotless, bright and airy, small, but... We stayed at Airdenair for a few days in May. It's located in a residential area, but within walking distance to the bus stops. I would recommend hiring a cab, however, going to and from the Royal Mile and other downtown areas----it just seemed so much faster and wasn't cost prohibitive. Our room was clean---bed comfortable, and our host (Jill)... More

I stayed at Airdenair 3 nights a week for 6 months whilst temporarily working in Edinburgh. Accomodation - 5 rooms of which I stayed in 2. They were clean and adequately equiped including tea & coffee making facilities. Bathrooms are small but perfectly adequate and, most importantly (in my opinion) clean. Good value for money in my view. Breakfasts -... More
