“breath of fresh air from the wonderful staff”

“"Loved it."”

This hotel was a wonderful old building, lots of charm. Everything was great, the rooms were comfy and cozy and we could walk everywhere. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the continental breakfast was more than expected....fresh fruit and cereal as well as toast and croissants. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. More

We enjoyed our stay at the Manor Place Thistle, which is a converted Edinburgh town house. It is very close to St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral where we attended the induction of the new Bishop of Edinburgh. The room was very spacious. The Scottish breakfast was very good. “Good value for money hotel”

Nice small hotel in a old house. The people i friendly and it feels like a well run hotel. Watch out though if you are expecting a nice big breakfast. The continental breakfast was quite small. More

“Thistle Hotel Edinburgh”

This is the second visit for us to this hotel and we just wouldn't think of even trying anywhere else. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms very comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good. All in all great value for money and would highly recommend. More

We loved the fact that it was a small hotel in a quiet location. It has lots of personality and a friendly staff. However, room 22 is not one I can recommend, as the mattress on one of the two beds is not worthy of the name--the springs running up and down the so-called mattress every 18 inches or so... More

Lovely small hotel with freindly staff and nice bedrooms on a quiet residential road. We were having a weekend away with the family, although no children.
