I booked a stay at the Edinburgh Town House as a late 30th Birthday getaway for me and some old friends - and I couldn't have found a more perfect hotel! Each of us arrived at different times and we were all given a warm welcome from the housekeeper, who goes to every effort to make you feel at home... More

We stayed a Edinburgh Townhouse this weekend as our base for exploring the city. It is right in the middle of the New Town area and easily accessible from Princes Street where lots of bus routes have stops (we came in on the bus leaving our car parked for free at one of the park and rides). It is also... More

Upon arrival we had been unexpectedly upgraded to a family size room with a double and a single bed, which meant we had more than enough space. Bathroom was fine, however we found the shower pressure a little weak. The room had plenty of storage (but not many hangers in wardrobe) and nice big windows letting in lots of natural... More

... You don't chose the twin room. We mixed up our booking so we got a twin instead of a double room. The room upstairs is really small and I could not stand upright. The room is backed with two beds and almost no place for a suitcase.... But we were able to change the room part of our time... More

Me and two other friends stayed here for one night and it was nice. The location is excellent and the hotel is really clean. The owner was friendly. We ordered pizza in and she had no problem with us eating it in our room. The check out time was quite early though. It was fine, but it meant we had... More

It was so nice to find a friendly welcome here and especially as I had arrived way before the 3 o'clock check-in time. The charming owner and his Housekeeper Judy took care of my luggage and gave me some ideas on what to do around the city. What a lovely, warm, familly feel to this Georgian Townhouse where my comfort... More

I stayed at The Edinburgh Townhouse for two nights with my two friends. This was an ideal place for us to stay as it is smack bang in the middle of Edinburgh, a two minute walk away from Princes Street and a five minute walk from the train station. The room was a decent size for what we paid however... More

excellent accomodation, great value for moneyin the centre of Edinburgh. Walking distance to most sights. Very friendly and accomodating staff, overall great experiance. The only minues that I can find is stairs...some rooms are located on the 4th floor and no lift so defnitely not buggy friendly.

We stayed for just a single night in this hotel but had we needed to, we would have been very happy to stay longer. The location is as central as it gets: 100 meters off Princes Street. Absolutely ideal for anyone doing some shopping or seeing the sights. Loads a great eateries within minutes of the front door. Attentive staff.... More

I stayed at the Edinburgh Townhouse for five nights. The location was central and perfect for a solo traveller, which was the main reason I choose this guesthouse. I was very happy with my first room, but at breakfast on the third day I was told that I had to move rooms that day and that I should have been... More

In responce to the ladys comments on the wi-fi. British Tel. had been having problems which was out with my control. And promised to fix the problem as soon as, which they did within 2 days. The lady was offered to use the dining room at any time as we were getting a better signal. 2 days after the lady... More
