Stayed here last night 20/05/12 The room was a special low price of £49. I would never pay full price for a travelodge these days...just not worth the money. The first room we were offered wa LG06, we walked in and room was freezing! Window open and when we went to close it we discovered the catch on the window... More

We had a really big room with a great view of Fettes College and the Firth of Forth beyond- sparsely furnished but the beds were clean and comfortable and there was a good shower in the bathroom. Potential problem with parking unless you have a disabled badge like me. Adequate cafe/bar. More

Hotel okay - a pity about the clientele. It's not the hotel's fault, I suppose, but it would be wonderful if there could be some sort of vetting so that any groups of young people - say below 25 - could be housed in a sound-proof basement. Here they could cackle and giggle to their heart's content, get drunk, go... More

We've stayed here a few times now and have always been very pleased with the cleanlines, friendliness and courtesy of the staff. The TVs are set you can't alter them and I guess they don't like DAB radio 4 Frequently buses stop outside. The breakfasts are very good and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. If you're thinking... More

This is a travelodge with so much potential. Very spacious rooms in a quiet location, pleasant and friendly staff and a short bus ride to town with buses leaving every few mins just outside the hotel, or a 20 minute walk to town. I was not expecting luxury, but after staying in other travelodge hotels, I realized that this particular... More

Unfortunately our first visit to Edinburgh was for a funeral; we flew in late at night and flew back home in the early afternoon the following day, so we were not able to explore much of what seemed to be a beautiful and cultural city. The hotel itself was above average. Our rooms were LG1 and LG2, which are on... More

At £140 for two nights over Easter weekend, we didn't think it was bad value for money! The rooms were basic but clean and tidy. This is a great base for exploring Edinburgh, as there is a bus stop right outside and it's within walking distance of the city centre - and the walk in is a lovely one. We... More

A well-refurbished hotel in the Travelodge chain, good location, good prices, but completely characterless and feels slightly dirty there are marks on the upholstery and the carpets. When we arrived back in our room at night there was a pigeon in in which had been making a mess everywhere. To their credit they allowed us to change rooms without any... More

Booked this hotel because of the cost - £29.00 per night. Great hotel for the price. Basic - but that is what travel lodges are. It was clean, the staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough for you. It is in a very nice part of the city and only a 10 minute walk from the bottom of... More
