Very good hotel. Furbished to a high standard, staff very helpful and friendly when we stayed, even helped us chose some local attractions to visit. Situated away from the centre but very easy to get into town as buses ran every 5-10 minutes. Local to zoo and restaurants and few bars. Nice hotel all in all. More

Booked two rooms for just one night as a stopover on journey up to highlands. Missed car park entrance first time and had to go around block so keep an eye out! Rooms were fine for what we needed and we headed into city centre for evening - direct bus route to princes street took approximate 20 mins - taxi... More

Just back today from The Agenda. To be honest I had tried to book The Holiday Inn along the road at the zoo but their prices were really expensive (£270 for one night B & B). The Agenda cost us £140 for two nights B & B which turned out to be excellent value for money. Won't go into long... More

When we arrived, we received a friendly welcome from receptionist Joanne. I had telephoned The Agenda to enquire about booking accommodation and she recognised me from that conversation. It was nice to put a face to the friendly and helpful voice on the 'phone. As has already been commented on, the hotel does not have a lift, but the stairs... More

I loved this hotel- the rooms were modern and clean, the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. What really made our time in Edinburgh was the willingness of the staff to help us with touring suggestions, Scottish customs, transportation...etc. The people at the hotel were extremely nice and one even went out of his way to run outside in the... Having stayed at this hotel I was at an adjacent table to this family and have to say there recollection of their food is so wrong, the staff where more than helpful and sorted out the problem of the food which stem from 1 female simply not liking the dish she got, not that there was anything wrong with it,... My partner and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. Staff was friendly. Only ate at the restaurant for the free continental breakfast- which was very good! full scottish breakfast! We got an amazing last min deal online so for our budget, and our low expectations- this place was VERY nice for us! big comfortable bed, clean room. The only... More

One of the most horrible hotels EVER! My family were visiting Edinburgh due to my nieces christening taking place in this hotel. My grandparents booked a double room (bed and breakfast). The hotel room was lovely when we entered although not worth £125 per night. The first night in the hotel, my whole family decided to eat in the restaurant.... More
