A traveling companion and I have stayed at Acer Lodge four times in the past four years, and have always been extremely happy both with the accommodations and with our hosts, Gill and Terry. The entrance hall and breakfast room are very tastefully and stylishly decorated, the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortably arranged, and the breakfasts are delicious. On... More

We enjoyed three nights here while in town for the Tatoo and liked the room and bedding and breakfast very much. Our hosts were very accomodating and helpful. The parking area was also quite roomy, and the bus to town is right across the road.

We loved Acer Lodge!!! It was a grand place to stay in Edinburgh! We were right on the bus line into the city and our host and hostess were very knowledgeable and accommodating. We were visiting very close family friends and was about a mile away, so we could walk to their house. Terry and Gill, our host and hostess,... More

Excellent. Comfortable: top-notch breakfast; friendly and helpful owners; excellent value especially for an expensive city like Edinburgh.. Some comments have mentioned its site on a main road as a problem, but (admittedly sleeping at the back!) we found it 100% quiet and restful. It is around 20 mins out of the City Centre by bus, but if you a rrive... More

I recently visited the city and stayed overnight in this guest house due to its location close to the Western General and also because of its good reviews in the Trip Advisor. The proprietors could not be more accommodating as I had gone through my operation earlier than expected and was really looking for a place to rest afterwards. There was no...
