My first hotel in Scotland (stayed in 7 different hotels during my stay) left nice enough impression, however there are a few cons worth mentioning. In general I like british / scotish hotels with that warm and homey feel. This hotel was no exception. The family room with two double beds was nice, spacious and well decorated. Beds were comfortable... More

Just outside Dundee but 5 mins walk to nice restaurants. Easy on-street parking outside. A nice old house with views of the river. Well presented, well decorated. A good price, a warm welcome, a spotlessly clean room, a comfortable bed, a great breakfast.

The Grampian is one of those very special places where you feel you've not only had a great stay, but also made a real friend. Heather is wonderful; despite a staffing problem (not her fault, and most unusual) she stayed smiling, and was most welcoming to a group who arrived MUCH too early with LOADS of luggage. (I'd have growled... More

I had a great night stay in the Grampian Hotel. Heather was very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful inside and very clean. We had a night out in Dundee which was a short taxi ride away. Will definitely be back if I ever need a bed for the night in Dundee again.

I can see that other reviewers rate this guest house very highly. Perhaps I expected too much for my 70 pounds for one nights B&B as I had experienced fantastic B & Bs for a much cheaper rate throughout the Uk. The guest house was very clean and the decor is fresh and bright. My room faced the Perth Road... More

Stayed overnight whilst on a visit to see our daugher. A warm welcome from Heather who apologised for a mix up with the booking - must be noted it was not her fault. Our room was very comfortable, clean and well presented. A restful night was had and was followed by a good continental breakfast. We have promised to stay... More

Our first stay at The Grampian and not the last if we are in need of a bed in Dundee again. We were given a very warm welcome by Heather the owner and a lovely pot of tea on arrival. After being shown to our room we took Heathers advice on where to eat in St Andrews as we were... More

I've stayed at the Grampian many times over the past few years and have probably been booked into most of their rooms by now. As a place to stay on business or holiday trips its been perfect. Considering where the guest house is based the value for money is excellent. The guest house has all you need after a day... More
