Extremely convenient for rail travel, and a lovely house located on Lovers walk. Although the decor is period like, it has an upbeat charm. I stayed in room four and found it to be a good sized twin with ensuite. The tv was a bit dated but some how added to the charm, I'm not a fan of carpeted bathrooms... More

Having had to postpone our trip to Ferintosh at the very last minute Robertson was very helpful and offered to accommodate us later in the year. We went the week end of the kilted pub crawl and Burns supper. My partner never having worn a kilt before let alone attend a Burns supper went with a little trepidation. We were... More

We too made the annual pilgrimage to Ferintosh in Dumfries for the Burns supper and Kilted pub crawl. Emma and Robertson were the perfect hosts as always. Rooms are spotless, spacious and comfortable. They serve a fabulous full breakfast from locally sourced ingredients and the whisky is an excellent extra. We always look forward to 'coming back' to Ferintosh. Best... More

We were back again this spring, in an unexpectedly cold and snowy Scotland for our kilted weekend. Our hosts Robertson and Emma took great care of us as always, and the tipple of single malt on arrival was especially welcome this year! Ferintosh is still the friendliest house in Dumfries!

We've stayed at the Ferintosh twice, and both times have been excellent. Emma and Robertson are great, and provided us with a wealth of information about Dumfries and the surrounding area. The house is super comfortable, and finding a dram waiting for you in your room after a day exploring is perfect.

We've been here several times now, and love staying. Robertson and Emma are great hosts, the whisky is fantastic and the guests are great. We come for kilted pub crawls and Burns suppers, and always have a wonderful time. We highly recommend it!

Spent Friday night at Ferintosh and will certainly stay there again when I return to Dumfries. The accomodation was perfect - spotless, quiet and comfortable. I can't remember ever staying in a Guest House and having dressing gowns to hand in the wardrobe. The breakfast was gorgeous and the hosts Emma and Robertson really friendly and helpful - even down... More

We would like to say a very big thank-you to Emma and Robertson for making our stay at the Ferintosh Guest House so perfect. The accomadation is wonderfully comfortable, immaculate and homely. Some B&Bs are good for an evening's stay, some are rather forgettable, and some are destinations in their own right. Ferintosh Guest House in Dumfries is one of those destination B&Bs to build your trip around. Robertson and Emma are wonderful hosts--friendly, helpful, entertaining. Robertson, a transplanted kilt-wearing American, is a font of knowledge about single malt whisky and tells... More
